This won't be up very long but the Thor 5 minute showreel from Comic-Con leaked online. The quality is not that good. (And I'm not just referring to the video quality. Hey-o!) No, seriously, I'm glad to see Flash Gordon and Masters of the Universe has been remade. Take a look, while you can.
Pretty much everything is spelled out in the trailer. I am glad to see the Destroyer armor is going to lead to a battle that is not shown in the trailer. I don't know about the hammer thought, it seems so tiny.
"Cautiously optimistic" is the best attitude to have, I think. Iron Man's greatest weapon was, both times, Robert Downey Jr.'s talent and charisma. Without that centering the Iron Man movies, they would have been a lot less entertaining and palatable.
Thor is an entirely different type of comic book movie than Iron Man, "shared" Marvel Universe notwithstanding. On the plus side, they seem to have stayed very true to the source material and that's what fanboys like. On the minus side, the Kirby costumes and designs of Asgard from the 1960s translated to live action in 2010 seem grand operatic, i.e. goofy as hell.
But whatever. I'll be watching Thor opening day regardless.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. Based on nothing but the preview it appears Thor spends a lot of time in a flannel and jeans as opposed to armor and a cape, which may mean the powers that be understood the goofy factor and did their best to mitigate it.
I know you're a feminist and I think that's adorable, but this is grown-up time and I'm the man.
I have never been able to get into Thor the character or the comic. Must be the whole Norse mythology thing that was too out there for me. Growing up, I made my mom buy all the Underoos for me, including Aquaman, but had no interest in looking like Thor.

But there WAS interest in your mom seeing your underwear? lol
This looks far better then expected. I'm pretty sure this was just a rough cut because the hammer they had on display seemed bigger. They'll probably 'fix it' during post production.
The trailer didn't even show off the coolest/geekiest part...
In Indianapolis, there's actually a local channel that plays all sorts of music videos. Really. OK, on Sunday they have church crap for some reason, but otherwise it's just videos.
