Catch The Thrill on "Pick of the Week": taped Tuesdays at Planet Magic in Denmark, WI; on the air Sundays @ 1 am on WB-14!

At least this is how I think they'll go.

Bears vs. Cowboys:

Colts vs. Lions:

(I think)

(3RD EDIT ALREADY: I forgot to mention the swank throwback-logo-filled-team-website-directory-banner-thingy on the front page of NFL.com.)

The orange...oy.

It's not like the Colts uniforms are that different, still using uniforms almost like those before the team was stolen moved.

I imagine the Colts uniforms will be white, not blue. Either way, thanks Thrill for posting a picture of Favre getting the snot kicked out of him.

Wait, let me save you the response. "Yeah, but who won that game? The Packers kicked the Lions azzes. Packers rule. And after further review... the Bears still suck." That about do it?

Yeah, but look at those swank double-striped socks, baby! I miss those (and the R.I.P. '96 old-school double-striping on the sleeves, without which we haven't won a world championship...yet) like you wouldn't believe.

Although they did screw that uniform up anyways. The TV numbers were still on the shoulders, instead of down the side of the sleeve, and the G on the helmets was still 3/4 of the way up the helmet, instead of smack dab in the middle of the side, WHERE IT BELONGS. That still drives me crazy go nuts. (Oh, and the f'n Reebok logo. C'mon, guys, you forgo the NFL Equipment patch at the nape of the neck for 1 game, but not the manufacturer's trademark!? Ye gods.)

They DID get pants-stripe-width correct, though.

(ANOTHER F'N EDIT: Although they don't have the data on the years selected for this Turkey Day's throwbacks, Football Uniforms Past and Present is an invaluable resource for you throwback-obsessed-like-me Wieners/fans out there.)

I've lived through the P.T. Willis era. I've lived through the Moses Moreno era. I've lived through the Johnathan Quinn era. I've lived through the Dave McGinnis debacle. I've lived through letting Trace Armstrong go for being too old, Doug Flutie for being too short, and Wilbur Marshall for being too expensive. And I have never once wavered.

But those orange jerseys...those make it hard to be a Bear fan. *shudder*

The dude that runs it has had serious personal issues to attend to. He hasn't updated the site since like Jan. His phpBB board is full of "get well soon" messages because someone that knows him IRL posted a message about the future, or lack thereof, the site.

The Bears secondary looked like giant orange pylons on Thursday afternoon.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory holds at ORANGE alert - High (JBL is STILL WWE champion and now smarks arch enemy HHH is the World Champion. Major red threat, but the undercard seems okay. The alert holds... for now)- 9/19

I've always thought very few teams looked good in orange jerseys. I even prefered the old-school Bucs in all white. Exception: old-school Denver Broncos. I HATE HATE HATE their late-90's blue jersey scheme (probably because of Super Bowl XXXII). But the orange alternates they wore Sunday night vs. the Raiders was a nice touch. It looked more like a snowy Broncos-Raiders game should. Thankfully, no Elway.

And was it "Alternate Jersey Day" in the NFL on Sunday? Hoo boy...Panthers in teal (thumbs up), Falcons back in black (feh, we've seen it), Broncos in orange, the New York Football Giants in red (you f'n kidding me? That's what you wear in practice when a player isn't supposed to get hit!)

(EDIT: I forgot the Texans' very cool red alternates, and the Bungles' HORRID HORRID HORRID orangish mess. Talk about a wardrobe malfunction...)

Throwback verdicts: Thumbs up to Dallas, another feh to Detroit's tired throwback look, and a big ol' Chris Benoit noseload o'snot on the Colts and Bears. My eyes still hurt.

I always thought that teams were only allowed to wear their alternates once a year. That's the second time that Carolina has worn blueish.

The Giants red was awful. At least Arizona wears red as a main part of their color scheme. The red for the Giants is an accent color. At least the alternates used by the Ravens, Eagles, Panthers, Broncos have colors that are integral to their graphic identity.

If you want to see the Broncos lose - put them on National TV - if you want to see them lose in a sickening fashion - put them in their alternate orange jerseys - 0-2 so far with this marketing experiment......please bring back the real orange jerseys (like the two in my closet)instead.

You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

"...others say my mom sucked 3,000 dicks." (Nag)

Maybe the Giants were thinking that the Eagles wouldn't hit 'em in red, that being the traditional QB practice jersey and all.

Yeah, I didn't think it'd work either. YEEARGH.

Those are the Broncos original AFL uniforms from when they played their games at the University of Denver. On national TV they now play like the teams that wore these unis.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2635475 Ouch, four games. It could have been worse, I guess. It really pisses me off because I'm a homer and really cheer for any Terp that makes it in the NFL.
