What was the NBA thinking, switching the draft coverage over to ESPN rather than TNT? How the heck am I supposed to be entertained listening to Tom Tolbert and Greg Anthony trade banter with Dick Vitale for five (!) hours ... Oh well, it could be worse; they could still have Tim Hardaway under contract.

. . .Or they could have Bill Walton instead of Jay Bilas. As entertaining as the TNT crew is, I think ESPN can provide better coverage. Guys like Bilas, David Aldridge and Andy Katz offer more info and insightful analysis than the typical ex-jocks and fired coaches. TNT really doesnt have those kind of guys.
And no more Hubie Brown. To quote Bill Simmons, his upside was tremendous.

You know I've never heard anyone make that joke before. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference that outside program before. Because that's what she says on the show, right? Hmmm? 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' And ye...ye..yet you've taken it and....and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. What a clever, smart girl you must be. To come up with a joke like that all by yourself. Mmmmm...that's so fresh too. Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. Mmmm? Cuz i'm here God you're so funny!
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2122976 This took me about 10 minutes to sift through the first few paragraphs of the story to make sure I got everything right. ESPN is calling this the largest single player transaction in NBA history:
