So did anybody watch week one? What were your impressions of the quality of play, broadcast, and game play changes?

I watched a small bit. I hate kickoffs.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

There was usually some NASCAR activity going on at the same time...turns out I missed NASCAR more than I missed football.

(I *was* slightly amused that they moved NASCAR to FS1 so they could broadcast XFL on FOX)

Not sure if the Guardians looked good or if it was because the Vipers were so bad. Vipers uniforms looked uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly.

I liked the kickoffs.

Wanted to watch Cardale play, but missed that game. Judging by the first week, DC vs NY should be a good game this weekend.

Way less gimmicks & a whole lot more polish. I got to see some of the Saturday game. I enjoyed what I got to see.

This second coming, incarnation, is a much better presentation than what we had 20 some years a go. I need go get a new XFL football & shirt. Take my money sold... yeah.

My youngest son and I watched a decent amount. It wasn't bad, but I need a reason to care to tune back in. I don't have that yet.

I kept checking with my son regarding rule changes -- he knew more about them than I did coming into the games.

Nobody cares :-)

Why do they name preseason "candidates" for all those individual awards in college football(such as the Doak Walker Award)? Is it just an honor, or are they really the only candidates for the awards.
