My heart is aching right now. At least I still have the Panthers. Here's hoping they can get past the Rams this weekend.

The Colts have such an amazing offense, I think when they are firing on all cylinders there's not one offense in the NFL better then The Colts. KC has scored more points this season but I think they can be stopped with a strong defense plan. But Indy can come from you from so many different directions.

Poor Denver they never knew what hit them. Last weeks JV squad that faced Green Bay looked more competent.

We'll second that here in Titletown. We'd much rather face Carolina in The Big Cellphone (dunno if that's a real nickname for Ericsson Stadium, but I just made it one) than the damn Rams in their damn dome on their damn turf on the road.

That, and I have issues with the city...so F the Rams. Go Panthers...see you in the NFC Championship! (After we take care of Philly.)

Thrill, whats the beef with the Lou?

Anyhow, I see a Packers Panthers final, and I think the Panthers might make it all the way to the super bowl.

Surprisingly, it's NOT just the 2001 NFC Divisional Playoffs ass-kicking we took down there. It's more a 2fold thing:

1) Just after the Bishop's Charities Game, 1986 pre-season. Coming out of Lambeau, my mom and I meet the rest of the family in the blue conversion van...only to find out we're on our way to Memphis because an aunt of mine was about to undergo emergency surgery. Dad works 3rd shift. He was tired, so Mom took over driving part-way down. Somewhere along the line, there's a highway fork: 1 way goes to Memphis, one to St. Louis. Long story short: Dad wakes up later, sees the sun's in the wrong position, looks out the window, and there's the Arch. C'mon, Ma! (It's a family thing.)

2) Budweiser overtaking Miller, and doing severe damage to other classic Wisconsin beers like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Style, Schlitz and Blatz!? Heresy! (Although I hear PBR is suddenly chic again in swanky Manhattan bars.)

3) 1982 World Series. I ain't forgotten, dammit.

But perhaps most offensive:

4) January 2002. Just started dating a hottie living up north from me in Coleman, WI...but she's originally from St. Louis. Things were going great...until she dropped the bomb on me: her mom's moving back to St. Louis, and she's gotta go with. She left the weekend of the aforementioned playoff ass-kicking. That sucked...I even took her to Saturday Night Fever: The Musical at the Weidner Center, dammit!

Hope that's enough dirty laundry for y'all. Meantime, the Rams suck.

Similar story - different team - back in 1989 I was dating a serious hottie who was a big NY Giants fan - I had just moved back from Denver a year earlier and still had great connections in the Broncos organization - took her out to Denver to see the Giants play at Mile High - got her down on the field and we watched the 1st half from the Giants sideline - LT almost ran her over at one point - Giants even win on a Meggett punt return - 3 days after the game she dumps me for the towel boy at her athletic club who happens to have Giants season tix........the Giants deserve a lifetime of Ray Handley's for that.....
