I'm thinking not exactly tweener, more like above the feuding. Like when I once saw Erik Watts (TNA DOA) defending the ring from run-ins. He's as biased as anyone, but he didn't let faces or heels into the ring, he stood off everyone who tried to interfere.

The people who are really in charge either need to be invisible, or more dedicated towards putting on a good show than having their allies win. Heyman's doing ok with that. Relatively. So did Steph. I adored her as GM.

And the Lord said, "Behold! I give unto thee..."
Heyman doing a good job being a tweener? He rigged the lottery so Shannon Moore'd get his ass kicked. He came out to Brock Lesnar's music for crying out loud!

Some things I'll suggest:

1. Put Triple H on TV or take the World Title off of him. Preferably the second one.
2. After he's done feuding with Jericho, trade Christian to SmackDown. Have him try to convince a returning Edge to reform Edge & Christian.
3. Have Chris Benoit win the Royal Rumble. The crowd is totally behind him now; this is as good a chance as they're going to get to give him a meaningful title reign. Benoit-Lesnar will kick some serious ass at 'Mania or No Way Out and his feud with the returning Kurt Angle will be awesome as well.
4. After he's done feuding with Christian, push Jericho to the moon.

Don't really know where you are going here. All (or vast majority at least) names you mentioned seem to have legit popularity among the fans at the arena and a lot fresher character then I would say either world champion at this time. Seriously are ICW whipping boys Steiner and others that were pushed this year a legit better choice then the ICW darlings that you mentioned (actually RVD isn't that popular among the ICW, except for the appreciation of a fresh style and popularity)... I for one never really bought into "us" and "them" being so different. We all want the same thing, exciting build and story and a fun match to watch as a payoff.

The one thing I think WWE needs to do is make the World title important, make it's matches important. It's so easy to do compelling angles with a strong title. You have to make World title matches mean something. The problem is the recent transactions especially on Raw makes it seem that there are no consequences in losing the title. You tune in to see HHH lose the title and when he does he's in the World title feud 2 weeks later and wrestling for the title in the next PPV & winning it.

What they should do is when you lose the title you are out of the main title picture for 5-6 months. You can do a little TV show rematch if you want(as long as you don't win the title back) but for the next half year you're not the main title feud. It will (A) Make a title lose seem important, therefore making every title match being very important to who's involved and (B) Force the WWE to allow other people to step up and be involved in a World title feud.

How to Make the Wienerboard a Better Place, Chapter 2: If you're going to make a smart-ass remark, make sure you know why you're saying it.
Another couple of ideas:

* You wanna wrestle? Be a wrestler. Already an announcer/GM/whatever? QUIT. Only exception I could think of was in the case of someone like Vince McMahon, where it's his company and he could do whatever he wants. But that's not an endorsement or anything. Just a reason.

* Toss the Board of Directors. Whatever happens on TV is because of on-screen characters. And no Foley contracts, either... essentially, this shall be a deus ex machina-free area. Authority figures (who should still be above the feuding) are responsible for everything.

Whatever they do, i hope to God they dont make HHH a face again, which i heard was rumored a few weeks back. He was rumored to feud with Randy Orton and the rest of Evolution after Mania. HHH is the worst face i've ever seen. When he came back after his quad, he was bland and boring. A face needs to be a sympathetic character...HHH is not.

I think what RAW needs to be livened up is to be centred around Jericho as a face to feud with Evolution. The fans are clamoring for him and i think his feud with HHH needs to brought back. Jericho hasnt had a run on top as a face and i think he could actually get some good matches out of HHH.

As for Smackdown, there needs to be development of feuds. Mysterio and Tajiri's feud that brought in Yang and Sakoda has been put off and replaced by this Nidia/Noble blindness thing which diminishes the value of the Cruiserweight belt. Benoit was a star for one week and now is fighting with the FBI, with no explanation. Chavo's turn on Eddie is taking FOREVER. Lesnar vs Holly doesnt capture anybody's imagination because everyone knows Holly doesnt have a chance. The wrong wrestlers are paired off on Smackdown.

I think not catering to dedicated fans, whether they know how to use a computer or not, is a poor business decision.

Casual fans aren't the ones who buy PPV's or attend house shows. If you're just watching another TV show, enjoying the soap opera and anything that doesn't require an attention span, then why would you go to all the trouble of purchasing a PPV? (Maybe not everyone has to make four phone calls to the cable company just to get one PPV right, but personally I got a cable box to watch wrestling, and I consider it a sign of my devotion.)

The wrestler's wages are being paid by the true fans. Higher ratings don't help those if those ratings come from casual fans.

For once I agree with OFB on quite a few different levels...if WWE booking can make that happen you know they must be doing something wrong. No matter what reaction he gets, they are going to alienate a large percentage of the fan base.
