What? How did I miss this announcement last week?
This is actually bigger news then when Becks came and played for the LA GALAXY.
From the sound of this, Henry wants to end his career playing in America. This is very interesting. Maybe We can get Wayne Rooney playing for the Rowdies or something later on, that'd be pretty cool.

Beckham was already a big name in America before he went to the Galaxy. He had his name in the title of a relatively popular movie, he married one of the biggest pop stars of the past 20 years, and he was frequently featured in gossip magazines and tabloids. Lots of people who know nothing about soccer know who David Beckham is. None of those things is true about Henry.
Regardless of who is the better player or who plans to be the most committed to his respective MLS team, Beckham remains the bigger news item and bigger draw.

...ok, when you put it that way, sure.
But Henry still has gas in his tank. Beckham, when he signed with LA, was in his final couple of years. As much as I like the guy, he's can't really go any more. Henry, however, probably still has a solid 5 or six more years in him. Henry also has a much more humble attitude and seems more likable.
And about Posh, Becks run here almost felt like it was done just to get Posh's face in the tabloids over here. I remember reading more about her the entire time he was 'playing'. Yeah, playing in quotes cause he barely played at all come to think of it.
