Union Square Agency Announces Partnership Agreement with Wrestlicious

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Union Square Agency (USSE Corp., Pink OTC Symbol: UCRP) today announced an all encompassing partnership agreement with Wrestlicious, an American all-female professional wrestling promotion.

This agreement is a 360 degree deal that leverages the best of both companies and should be the first of many future projects together. Union Square Agency will provide sponsorship sales, television production, syndication, media sales, event extensions, venue selection, strategic partnerships and manage licensing and merchandising.

In 2010, Wrestlicious launched their critically-acclaimed, Tampa-based female pro-wrestling series “Wrestlicious TakeDown”. Wrestlicious has a letter of intent from a Viacom-owned cable network to broadcast all-new episodes of the series in 2011 and Union Square Agency will oversee production. “Wrestlicious TakeDown” is the first action/comedy television program produced by Wrestlicious LLC, founded in 2008, which aired on Dish Network, via MAV TV in the United States and Bite TV in Canada, as well as in syndication. It features sketch comedy, on-location beach segments, music videos and other non-traditional components in addition to exciting wrestling action performed by ring veterans in colorful, over-the-top characters. www.wrestlicious.com

Johnny Cafarella, Wrestlicious Co-Executive Producer said "We are thrilled to partner with Union Square Agency to take Wrestlicious to the next level. This is a perfect fit given their positioning as a lifestyle agency and proven ability to grow properties.”

Hey Aaron, stock up - they're trading between two and three pennies a share! (finance.yahoo.com)

Most educated guess on the "Viacom-owned cable network" is obviously MTV2.

So....sooner or later, we may yet get the promised Season 2 of TakeDown - whether you want it or not!

caveat: Viacom is (apparently) good telling people they'll air a second season of their wrestling program on MTV2, not so much good at actually doing it.

I believe the first draft of this press release contained the alternate phrase "longest running weekly episodic half-hour professional wrestling women's series in the history of MAVTV"

My favourite bit was this bit:

It features sketch comedy, on-location beach segments, music videos and other non-traditional components in addition to exciting wrestling action performed by ring veterans in colorful, over-the-top characters.
"...oh, and there's some wrestling also."

WRESTLICIOUS TAKEDOWN: WATCH IT FOR THE ON-LOCATION BEACH SEGMENTS (AND OTHER NON-TRADITIONAL COMPONENTS)

Say, you notice who WASN'T mentioned anywhere in that press release? (There are two acceptable answers.)

The Horny Goat Brewing Company?

That lottery winner who "founded" the company?

Hey I have two of my stocks that were up over 70% today. I took Sirius from .13 to $2.00 before selling... I'm doing alright

Did I ever tell you about the time I accidentally bought 1/67th of a pirate treasure hunting company? It wasn't actually that much of it... but I had to explain it to Lise...

I'm less embarrassed of my stock portfolio than I am of this show, and I own stock in Marijuana, inc.

If/when you watch this next season, look for ref Carley Rae, another New Breed Wrestling alum (Justin King being another) making it to nationally distributed TV.

If this means SHIMMERites on my TV, I'll sit through the skits. Even better, if they hire Buggy, I'll never have to watch NWA Hollywood again.

(Yes, NWA Hollywood is so annoying that I'd rather watch Wrestlicious.)

If there's one person who calls themselves a critic and acclaims it, I suppose it's technically accurate.

There was that referee who originally served under Flair and than took over. What was his name?
