And, because Wells showed something last year, the Blue Jays will actually get something back? As for the Angels, if they get the 2010 Vernon Wells for a 3 of the 4 years of the contract, it is a good deal. However, if they get the '07 or '09 Wells, this contract will be an albatross.| Promote this thread! | | Joseph Ryder

This is going to end very badly. And on top of everything, if Morales has another freak injury, now there's no one to fill in for him. I will now put my face in a cheese grater.

And outstanding trade, simply excellent.

Heyman is now reporting $5m from Toronto to Anaheim.

I can't believe that Anthopoulos found a taker for the Most Unmovable Contract In Baseball and, even more amazingly, gave up NO MONEY in return. Hell, if the Jays had offered to pay $40 million to Anaheim, I still would've liked the trade.
Angels fans, I'm sorry. Wells might have a good season next year but in the long-term, the Halos got boned

That's ok. In a couple of years, they could just send THAT contract to the Angels, too.
Yeah, a whole day has passed and I'm still incredibly bitter.

Toronto's arbitration offer to Bautista was $7 million, so I doubt they're going to suddenly bump him up to $20 million per year.
I'd suspect we see Bautista and the Jays settle on a three-year, $25 million contract.
