There must be some reason the Red Sox are winning all sorts of games that they just shouldn't. Right?
Maybe it's the spectacular depth of the bench. Yeah, that's it! Then again, the bullpen only gave up 3 runs in 8 1/3 Thursday.

That's the one. The sox will play like gangbusters through July and all the New England loudmouths will yak about how this is the year. Then come August 1, they'll begin theri annual slide to the gutter and end up 3 or 4 games above .500 as the loudmouths will do a 180 and bitch and moan about the coach, GM, and everything else in sight. | Gugs

The loudmouths have had plenty to bitch about so far this year. The Sox haven't deserved to win half of the games that they have won because of the bullpen or the lack of timely hitting. The Sox need to get their act together quickly or something straight out of 1978 will be the only way the Sox can catch the Yanks. Somehow, the Red Sox and Cubs will meet in the World Series and go to a Game 7. Not only that, but Bud Selig will end that game in a tie just to mess with our collective heads.

I am with you on their bullpen but they have been getting alot more timely hitting than last year. They have come back in a couple of games down big only to have their pen blow it. Like it or not this team can it the cover out of the ball. PLUS THEY STEAL BASES. Wow I don't think I have ever writen that about the Red Sox before. |
