That's usually what happens to plug overseas tours...unless they have a native on the roster (Tajiri usually makes the Japan runs, for example) they send duds to handle the promotion. The mindset here obviously is that because WWE rarely goes to these foreign countries the people will be happy to see any of the wrestlers in person, plus sending them means whoever goes is unavailable to work shows for about a week. Really wouldn't make sense to pull Kurt Angle off a week of TV and house shows when business is already down to go overseas and hype an on-sale date for a show that will probably sell out anyway.
Towards the end of the AFL season at the MCG they were running a Ric Flair promo on the big screen before the match. Woooooo! For some reason he does a Hulk Hogan style shirt rip.
The RAW brand toured earlier in the year, 3 shows. I can't remember the full card but the names were there. H^3 was scheduled, but surprise surprise he was injured and didn't make the trip so we scored Nash vs various for the main events.
I'm surprised they didn't dust off Nathan Jones for a TV spot. Local boys does good and he still has the "okker" accent. Maybe something about his 8 or so armed robbery convictions in Queensland?
There are only 10 episodes left of Prime. Will the producers realize between now and then Johnny B Badd no longer works in WCW? Not this week!
Once again, we are thankfully joined by MIKE TENAY, and less thankfully by CHRIS CRUISE.
