Not if you put a cap on starts. I think Kyle would be the #1 pick, depending on how you weight Cup vs. Nationwide vs. Truck, but several guys run a bunch of Nationwide races. That would be part of the strategy.

Yeah, but then I would have to care about the Busch series and the craftsman series (or whatever they are now). I wouldn't bother. I don't watch AHL either.

Yeah, that would be cool.

It would be just like an NFL Elimination league.

Well...there are only so many Sprint Cup drivers. With 36 races I wouldn't want to have to pick, say, J.J. Yeley...if we did a pick-one-driver-format like this we could make it so you could pick from any racing series from NASCAR, IndyCar, or F1 that was going on a given weekend. This weekend there is a truck race and a Cup race at Martinsville and the F1 race in Malaysia. Maybe you pick an F1 guy? Maybe you pick a Truck Series driver? Maybe you don't want to even go there and you pick a shitty Cup driver?

I'm spending way too much time thinking about this.

I wouldn't even know where to begin picking trucks & F1 drivers. Why not make the elimination the first 26 weeks of CUP series and then bring everyone back for the 10 Races in the Chase. By week 36 in our current format, you pretty much are stretching on the C Drivers anyway.

All I know is that no matter the format, I'll overthink it at some point and screw myself relying on Elliot Sadler again *grumble*.

Did you just turn on the lucky dog option this week? I don't remember losing the low score before. If so, I don't like changing the rules mid-season.

Yeah, I noticed that too and thought that was odd.

I wish the ability to post comments was unlocked.

Yeah, that was put on this week. I'm not even going to argue with it. I just want a commish next year who isn't so sensitive about the trash talking and/or will put rules in place for the group's liking instead of his own. I think at this point we should contact Yahoo to see if they can reverse this or at least prevent him from making other changes that can unfairly alter the results.

Yes, it's not right to change rules during the season and as you said, we can't even comment over there about it since that's turned off, too.

Maybe we can get someone else to be the commissioner next season?

ME. I'll do it. I've never seen a NASCAR. It'll be great. Trash talking is encouraged. Rules will be arbitrary and subject to change. If your team name doesn't please me, you'll be disqualified. Do you have teams? I don't know. Doesn't matter. This will be fantastic.

I echo both of the last two statements

I did it one year and I got no complaints. Because I enjoy people bashing Pieman

They will tell you no, that you joined the league. We just pick a league hosted by someone we trust to be impartial and fun next year.

The Lucky Dog option was changed by accident - I clicked SAVE by accident when I was fiddling with things. I don't even see what the big deal is - do you all despise NASCAR when they give someone a free pass? It's really the same thing.

Heck, NASCAR loves changing rules mid season. I could joke around and suggest this offers some form of realism.

I turned off the comments on the Yahoo because it made no sense to me to have them - why bother having two places to make these comments? Great argument has to do with the Survivor Football from last year - commentary on each weeks' performance was in the thread for that week. I hardly use my YAHOO account for anything outside of Fantasy Sports. I have an email through them that is useless outside of collecting tonnes of scam spam.

All things considered, YAHOO's Fantasy NASCAR is a joke. It's not very original, and I do believe there are better options out there - ESPN (I think) holds one, as does the NASCAR site itself.

As per the soon-to-be-renamed Nationwide series, I would love for a Fantasy league to include them, providing the choices don't include Sprint Cup drivers...only those who drive for points in Nationwide.

There are days where I miss the Dreamcast.

I guess I can't see why we can't have the comments turned on over there. If you don't want to use them over there, that's fine. But it seems the rest of us do want to use them over there. Rather than run back and forth between the two sites, it's easier to post comments ridiculing Doug right when I am there (or now AWArulz).

With comments on, everyone could laugh at my 67 point week...

Ugh, what the hell. I may not pay a lot of attention to NASCAR, but I have never had that bad a week of picks ever in anything...

Sure would beat having to change my name every few weeks

and I hate the Lucky Dog - we haven't had a "free pass" all season - why have one now ? (and JJD had like a 138 and I need him to have that score this segment)

Not so much stupid, as just hit by bad luck- they were all VERY close on fuel, and it does no good if they run out on the 4th caution lap. They were stuck.
