Hi all,
OK, so although this is my first post I have been a reader of this board for over a year or so now, and it’s one of the few wrestling sites (along with Dot Net and the Torch) that I check almost everyday. Really enjoy it.
ANYWAY, I’m just posting today because I’m a comedian in NYC and just made a short film parody of “The Wrestler” called “The Wrestling Fan”, and I thought this would be a great place to share it with a large group of my fellow wrestling fans. So here’s the link on Funny or Die:
http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/ea82eb6d20/the-wrestling-fan

I hope you enjoy it!
Also, if you feel a post like this (plugging a short film) violates the terms of the board and you need to take the post down, I’d totally understand. Just figured it would be a appropriate since it’s a pro wrestling sketch.
Either way, thanks guys.

You had me until you posted the exact same URL a second time in the same post. Ah, what the hell, let's leave it up. Could everybody watch the video and then respond with a "Funny" or "Not Funny?" Then we can determine if I should take any further/hilarious action.

Not Funny. Sorry. I cracked a smile once when I saw the quick glimpse of Kamala and only had a slight chuckle about Hill-billy Jim.

On the technical side, I have no issues with the production values. It would blow away anything I would try to do. I have no idea how to do green screen and it looked like it was filmed in HD. It just didn't bring the funny, to me at least.

Not Funny. Meh. Not worth the price of admission, even if it's free.

Mmm, Ramen Rainbow.

Read it and weep, fella

Not funny at all. No smiles were cracked, not a chuckle was heard.

Not funny. Beyond "yawn", well into "lame".

Well, you have your answer. Unless you want 30 more people replying with "Not Funny".

Bleh. Mildly, VERY mildly amusing at best. Not sure if I'd make this my first post in a new message board.

Maybe putting the most stereotypical wrestling fan caricature possible in front of a group of reasonably serious wrestling fans wasn't the best idea?

Not to say we wouldn't laugh about ourselves, but with this video I think you'd do better with a group of non-fans that buy into the stereotype.

And couldn't you have taken a shot at the "It's still real TO ME" guy?

(Disclaimer: I only made it through about a minute, sorry dude.)

I agree with Zeruel. Technically sound, but the content needs some work. I didn't find it funny, myself.

You know, I really don't know what to put here. Close your eyes and thank of something funny!

Needs a scene where the fan is trying to explain the Montreal Screwjob to a topless stripper.

Maybe that's in the deleted scenes or the extended cut.

WIth that said, it's not bad, but not my cuppa tea. Sorry!

I laughed at: "how did they get him?" when reading the Hogan interview in the WWF Magazine, and "where's my Hillbilly Jim costume."

If I hadn't already read the Undertaker/Koko line on here I'm pretty sure I would've laughed at that too.

Ditto for me, minus the Hillbilly Jim comment. Also, I could have done without the gut. I haven't seen a belly sticking out in the crowd for quite a while.
