It's not the Penguins. The Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League haven't won in 31 games, including 17 straight losses. Their record is 6-48-11-2, and their 25 points is 31 behind the Brandon and Regina for the worst total in the league!
Even more astounding is that they haven't set the record for the longest winless streak in WHL history yet. The record is 36 games, set by Regina in 1976-77.

I was just thinking about the Blades yesterday, because the Calgary Hitmen were playing them last night. I was a little nervous, as you don't want to be the team that breaks their losing streak, but the Hitmen did just fine, winning 6-1. And in scoring more than 5 goals, everyone in the Saddledome got a coupon for a free Wendy's burger!

Hell, that's nothing. When YOUR Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL scored their 5th goal of their 6-3 win(Pointstreak.com) vs. the Sioux Falls Stampede...PRESTO! Everybody's ticket stub magically became good for a free Taco Bell taco!
Gotta love the Jumbotron in the Resch Center following along with the "We Want Ta-cos *clap clap clapclapclap*" chant.
Star wipe, and...we're out. Thrillin' ain't easy.

Bobby Clarke will be the GM as long as Ed Snider has a say in it. He's loyal to him for those Cups in the 70's, and when he let Clarke go to Minnesota in the late 80's and put his idiot son in charge the franchise faltered until the Lindros era.
