This is a test of intellgence that the NFL gives. Ohio state did not have a great showing in this.

Maurice Clarett, Ohio State - 1

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What's the high score on these things. I think 41 was the highest I saw. That doesn't bode particularily well for my man Lee Evans (27 is middleish), though he did score the highest of all the listed WRs. I hope he goes somewhere nice.

Average score for an NFL prospect on this is a 19, with 50 being the highest. The score basically correlates to how close to the ball the player is. There's a Denver Post article which gives a nice little breakdown of what scores scouts might look for:

Offensive tackles: 26
Centers: 25
Quarterbacks: 24
Guards: 23
Tight ends: 22
Safeties: 19
Middle linebackers: 19
Cornerbacks: 18
Wide receivers: 17
Fullbacks: 17
Tailbacks: 16
( Source: The Denver Post (denverpost.com))

So Evans' score is pretty outstanding for a WR. It must be nice to have WRs who actually catch the ball.
There are also some sample Wonderlic questions here (angelfire.com).

Am I the only one who is surprised at hoe low the score for MLB is versus other positions. I would have guessed them to be higher than almost anyone since they are basically the D-coach on the field usually.

You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

>D... I remember back when Marcellus Wiley was draft-bound... he mentioned that everyone was trying to cheat off of him. Let that be another lesson to you: When you're taking an intelligence test as an NFL prospect, find the players from Ivy League schools. Or at least Columbia.

NFL players must be dumber than I thought. I once scored a 48 on a Wonderlic, and I'm not THAT smart.

Oh, I get it - the linked post mocking Ohio State by messing with their scores went over my head, so I didn't think to scroll down to find the real scores.

Never mind then. Thanks for poitning me in the right direction.

Yeah I am sorry. I got fooled into thinking they were the real scores too. It just seems so possible the Ohio State COULD get those low amount of scores :)
