Eoj (pronounced "EEE-aaahj") is a Chicago street artist who merges his own quirky cultural past (I'm not sure exactly where he's from) with American popular and folkloric images, obscure presidential trivia and pocket change. He works primarily with paint, using coins as his "canvas". He sometimes adds other elements including quotes from the US presidents depicted on the coins. Eoj is odd. His works are amazing. His web site is very difficult to maneuver through, but he apparently has also painted pennies in the likeness of Elvis, Van Gogh, Magnum PI, Castro, KISS, Janet Reno, and (apparently) a victim of Leatherface ... Huh. (edited by Alessandro on 7.1.04 1047) Alessandro "Hercules" Boondy
