Two music industry legends have died this week.

Desmond Dekker, the self proclaimed King Of Ska died of a heartattack yesterday. Many of you may not know of him, but he predated Bob Marley in bring Ska/Reggae music to America.

Also this week, Ian Copeland passed away. Another person who's name probably wouldn't ring a bell to, but he was a concert promoter back in the 70s and 80s. His claim to fame is helping 'discover' the AVERAGE WHITE BAND, and bringing SQUEEZE, The CURE, The SMITHS, and many other British New Wave groups to our shores.

Both will be missed greatly.

Well, I think Pitchfork's headline pretty much sums it up: http://pitchfork.com/news/36505-holy-shit-pavement-reunion-is-real/ I can't imagine (and most reports seem to agree) that this would be a one off thing.
