We take an extended breather after last week's Fall of Terminus, and there's no better way for this show to do a "breather" episode than a good ol' fashioned supply run. In between, we see Tara make piece with both Rick and Maggie for her part in the Governor's assault on the prison, which includes Hershel's murder. Also, we're introduced to Father Gabriel, who's clearly hiding *something*. Also also, Rick agrees to accompany Abraham and Eugene to DC, but something might just delay that a wee bit...

Bob was just way too positive throughout this episode. They were blatantly telling us something real bad's gonna happen to him. I personally thought he was going to take a bullet as he was trying to instill some positivity into Rick on their way to the supply place. Instead, while he hangs around outside Father Gabriel's church for some alone time after something took away his positivity during the supply run, he gets kidnapped by Gareth and the Terminus gang (Tyrese didn't kill baseball cap guy? *slaps head*). After kinda sorta skirting around the cannibalism thing the past two episodes, we see without any shadow of doubt that these guys are human eaters. Sentient and rational walkers. Now, the question is, did Bob get bitten during the supply run, and are the cannibals eating infected human flesh???

Edit: second week in a row I forgot the icon. Sigh.

While he looked similar, I think that was a different baseball cap guy. I did a double-take too.

Book spoilers ahoy:

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
The end scene is lifted almost verbatim from the comic. Only, in the book, Dale is still alive at this point and he's the cannibals' victim. And yes, he had been bitten. The infected flesh didn't much matter, as the cannibal group was quickly slaughtered by Rick's gang. I don't think Gareth's group will meet that quick of an end, though.

These two episodes have been INSANELY good.

Everything is awesome.

Glad to see Daryl remember Beth got kidnapped and he and Carol seems to be going after those guys now. Agreed that the 2 episodes have been extremely good.

My problem with the Terminals is that Rick's crew just annihilated their entire civilization. Why on earth would they come after Rick? Even if Gareth was being honest about it being a coincidence that they caught Bob, you'd think these guys would have some sense of self preservation, and go the other way. Rick's group is clearly the most dangerous thing they've ever encountered. Revenge is not a good enough motivation to trail after them.

Gareth has delusion of grander. He started off with mommy dearest with this Utopia that got upturned by bad guys. After he got it back, he decided to go in a different even more big idea direction with making it a trap and creating a cannibal's paradise. Now, after that is gone, he is going after what is a highly tuned machine of death to anyone who stands in its way including a fucking tank.

I was hoping Gareth would join the group as their Spike from Buffy then get capped midway through the season. Now, he is going to be the big bad even though, I am not sure how many people are left alive in Terminus after the ass beating they took.

I suspect Gabriel's dark secret has something to do with those kids who colored Moses drawings. If they looked to him to deliver them from evil, and he saved himself by parceling them out to the walkers ... well, we'd have a nice contrast to what Rick and the others are doing for Judith.

Nice to see the return of Rick's Questions Three.

I will cheer aloud when Eugene dies. If Eugene dies. However Eugene dies. He's every smug pop-culture nerd I've ever stumbled into an argument with.

We seemed to have skipped over Bob's withdrawal from booze.

The only dissapointing part of the episode was Michonne's explanation about finding the katana. I expected something more driven by fate, or a warrior-like cosmic discovery where she happened upon the blade during her most desperate hour and the minute she touched it things felt right then she slaughtered like 20 Walkers. Instead we got:

"I just kinda found it, and had lots of free time to practice. No I don't miss it cause that was the old me"

No fuck that, I want her to miss it like a chopped off limb.

Why the shit are you crying in the woods Bob? I think he got bit earlier that day or maybe he missed the hooch?

Soggy Walkers really did not sit well with my stomach as seeing those was the closest I've gotten to feeling sick watching ANY gory movie or show. Great job makeup team!

And oh yeah, I hate Eugene. He's full of shit and his hair is stupid and filled with more shit. How are they willingly following someone who I believe has Asperger's and a nerd who used the end of the world to pretend to be a badass military guy? The latina girl can stay though.

That is my thought with Eugene - who in their right mind would ever follow this guy? I would never believe a word he says let alone save his ass at every turn to get him to Washington.

I really hope Bob was bit. That is the only thing that would explain why he was outside alone crying. It would also be he last "F You" to the Terminus group as they just ate tainted meat.

And Michonne without the katana is just wrong. She really needs it back ASAP.

So far everything has been awesome. The only character I hate is Eugene and I think we all know he will eventually die. No one else in the group is getting on my nerves as in past seasons.

And if baseball cap guy from Terminus is alive because Tyrese let him go, then Tyrese has a lot of explaining to do.

Life is hilariously cruel.

Has Michonne tried holding out her hand to see if the sword would return to her like Thor's hammer? She's the only one who can wield it. No one else is worthy. No one else can lift it and become Michonne. I say thee nay.

The funny thing is that if they actually DID do that, the ratings would still be high, if not higher. I have never seen a show with so many plots holes and mind scratching decisions do as well as this.

And yes, I watch every Sunday.

They don't really compare at all, except that Troy was probably better. And not nearly as painful to watch either. Both were about the same length as well. EDIT: Here's my official review of the movie- http://www.hybridmagazine.
