What's more interesting than Rick banishing Carol is the backlash he's going to get when (if?) he tells the prison gang what happened. Rick made a lot of good points - Tyreese would more likely than not try to kill Carol, which would more likely than not get Daryl involved. And then total chaos would ensue. Also, I wholeheartedly agree with Rick that if I was left alone with my two children and Carol, I wouldn't want Carol anywhere near me or my family. The issue people have is that Rick banished Carol unilaterally (Council? What council?), and that he did so without a trace of irony considering what both he and Carl have done in the past. Rick is becoming more and more isolated - he's just as concerned about protecting himself and his family as he is concerned about the well-being of the community.

Oh Bob, were you really going to draw your weapon on Daryl? Stupid, stupid man.

Chris Jericho rocked it on Talking Dead. But the absolute highlight was my wife and I both commenting about the stupid look on Chris Hardwick's face during the pre-recorded interview with Andrew Lincoln...then Chris comes back and explains how the producers splice in generic reaction shots of Chris after the fact, because he isn't actually sitting there listening to Andrew spoil then-future episodes.

What Must Happen: Rick discovers Carol lied to cover for Carl. He's wracked with guilt and remorse and conflict of how to handle it. Knock knock. It's the Governor armed with military surplus. And Carol is standing right next to him. The prison is attacked. The prison population is defeated, and the Governor is about to kill Rick in revenge. Carol tells Rick he was right about her. She is strong. She is a survivor. And then she shoots The Governor in the fucking head. CAROL UBER ALLES. ON YOUR KNEES, CURS! THE REIGN OF QUEEN CAROL THE FIRST IS UPON US! HAVE DARYL BATHED AND BROUGHT TO HER TENT!

What this does is tie up the season of vengeance. Tyrese can't handle it. Michonne is trying to eat it. Carol has all the reason to hate the crew but knows they are right, and there's the Governor who is all vengeance these days. And that's why Rick can't be vengeful when he punishes Carl. He sees the cycle, and it can't work that way anymore.

And what does Carol do when she finds Daryl and Michonne getting cozy? SHE CLAIMS GLEN AND TYRESE AND MAYBE BETH BECAUSE SHE. IS. CAROL.

Really weird that neither Carol nor Rick heard anything regrading the two kids they found in the neighborhood. No screams. No gunshots. Get me some of that house insulation.

I think Carol is going to be playing the role of Tyrese and Daryl is going to be playing the role of Michonne when the Governor and his tank finally rock up at the prison.

Michonne is insanely hot.

No way is the killer going to turn out to be Carl. After last night's opening scene, I am betting with 100% certainty that it's the crazy little girl who no longer sees a difference between being alive and being dead.

I'm still liking the rest of the show, but it is lacking the presence of a charismatic villain like Shane or Gov. Phillip. I'm also not sure what to make of the massive legion of walkers from last week - I thought that was going to be a big deal, but nobody so much as mentioned them this week.

Her comments help me discount her as a suspect. If she saw no difference between living and walkers ("at least they're something") she wouldn't have destroyed the bodies of the Flu Two. She would have let them stay was walkers locked in those cells.

Ah, but I don't think the little girl burned the bodies. She's just our murderer. I think that Carol did do the burning. That's how she knows who's guilty, and why she's covering for her.

I like Rick, I really do. Generally, I think he's a pretty interesting character. But man, sometimes he's just as dumb as a bag o' rocks.

How Sam and Flower Girl were able to survive for - how long has it been since the outbreak? A year? - is beyond me. So the strategy is to give them a gun and let them go around by themselves when it's clear that the two of them couldn't even handle one Walker and were R-Kelly'd for two days (okay - it was a bedroom, but still...). Good plan.

And why not take the entire tomato plant and replant it at the prison, Farmer Rick?

And Rick's never murdered anyone for being a threat? Seriously? The two guys in the bar with Herschel, Tomas in the prison, Shane... yeah. I mean, Carol went about it the wrong way, but Rick isn't exactly up for sainthood.

Screw it, just put Daryl in charge.

I don't see Carol aligning with the Governor. I have a distinct feeling that David Morrissey's signing this season was simply to keep people on edge that he'd randomly show up. I don't think we'll see him until next season.

Chris Jericho was pretty great on Talking Dead, but nothing really beat his line during the 'live' bumper before Talking Dead started:

Chris Hardwick: Who would you most want with you during the zombie apocalypse?

Guys, Carol did it. She's not covering for anyone. If she was protecting someone, she wouldn't let Rick banish her so she couldn't protect them anymore.

Still not liking this season at all. Something feels off.

I may have said this before here, but I bet the Governor is the half-season tease.

The wrestler guy was indeed very good.

Yup, me too.

The other thing that I found exceptionally weird was that Carol let Rick just unilaterally banish her. In the last 6 months, Rick has totally abdicated his leadership role to be "just a farmer". OK, that's his perogative. But he no longer has the right to just tell her she can't come back.

Without thinking about it too hard, with Carol "gone", I get that we're down to just 4 characters from the "original" season 1 group: Rick, Carl, Daryl & Glenn. Am I forgetting anybody?

Well, assuming he has not gone totally insane and offed himself, Morgan is still alive - although he was never part of the group - as the last survivors of season 1.

Life is hilariously cruel.

While not on the show anymore, the Morales family could still be alive and well in Birmingham.

Yeah, they kinda lost me the last two seasons; I watched most of the episodes, but I hadn't made them a "must-watch" as I had in the past.
