If this was Game of Thrones, the second to the last episode of the season would've been EPIC. But alas, it's the Walking Dead and it didn't even end in a major cliffhanger and the previews for next week didn't even look that exciting.

I was getting really annoyed with Daryl's new gang with the whole "claimed!" rule where if you call it, you get it. Daryl was at odds with one of them over a rabbit. The head guy chopped it half for both of them and explained the rules of the gang to Daryl. Apparently, annoying gang member guy planted his half of the rabbit into Daryl's bag but the head guy didn't believe him so the rest of the gang beat him up nWo style. The next day, the dude was dead outside of their building with an arrow through his eye. We end the episode seeing them heading towards Terminus with bad intentions... we see one of the candy packages that Carl and Michonne was eating laying on the train tracks.

Then there's Glenn and the mullet scientist. That guy continues to act like a weirdo. Glenn finally sees one of the Terminus signs that Maggie wrote around to let Glenn know to head there. BTW, Lara Croft girl is finally wearing pants which is a lot more appropriate dress code for the zombie apocalypse. Still, Abraham noticed that Tara was checking her out and guessed she was into girls. The whole time Scientist guy kept asking Tara dumb questions such as what kind of gamer she was before the zombie apocalypse. When they happen upon a dark tunnel full of walkers, Abraham and his gang of 2 bailed out. Glenn was hell bent in going through the tunnel with limited ammo and Tara who already had a leg injury... of course she falls into the rocks and is trapped. Instead of leaving her, Glenn tries to shoot as many zombies as he could but is saved by Maggie, Bob, and Sasha, who ran into Abraham, Scientist, and Lara Croft on the other side of the tunnel. Actually, the Scientist tricked the others to drive there instead of heading to DC.

The combined group makes it to Terminus and it looks like an up and up place. Lower your weapons, says the sign. They run into a homely lady who tells them to make a plate and "welcome to Terminus."

I don't know. Terminus looked awfully empty for a place that's supposed to be a "refuge for all." I probably would have turned around and walked away at the second gate. I fully expect something awful to happen to the group at Terminus, although I'm not quite sure what yet. My wife is banking on Terminus being full of cannibals, but I'm not entirely sold on that.

I like the cannibal theory. I was waiting for a horde of walkers to come round the corner when they came in. Oh, and did anyone close the door behind them? No one is watching the front door? No sentries? No one tending the garden? Only Tasha Yar and her homemade grill?

From Talking Dead, next week is supposed to be jam packed with action. We'll see.

Tasha Yar = Sweeney Todd.

They ... they wouldn't really give us a deathtrap and call it Terminus, would they? An actual end of the line? Is she a large-scale suicide assistant? Perhaps she's created a rest area for the weary travelers who are re-energized in body and spirit to go back into the world.

Anything would be a letdown compared to last week's episode, but this was slight. The burning of Maggie's photo seems ominous. Ford and Eugene seem like caricatures, as do the Macho Archer fight club Daryl fell into.

I talked to the Lovely Mrs. Tracker about our survivors, and I'm of the mind that Rick could be the next to go. Carl has Micchone, and he's as prepared as he can be for this new world. We had a noticeable lack of Rick this season, and I can't say I miss him nor does he bring much to the plate now. I don't want him dead, you understand, but he may have served his purpose: He helped the audience wade into this world. The others carry the gospel of Herschel just fine. What more do we want of the man?

After Glenn being on Talking Dead last night, Carol last week and Maggie two weeks ago, I think they'll survive.

I still can't figure out we Archer Fight Club leader resembles more: Nick Nolte or Kris Kristofferson?

Anyone else reminded of The Village from The Prisoner after hearing the lady's voice over in the previews?

Also, I think that the lady might be like Lizzie and believes zombies are human and that's why the gates were left open. Tasha's purpose is to be the Queen of the Damned and lure people to Terminus so they can be turned and she can continue to build her Walker Army.

I'm seeing GIFs online that connect Mary to the home Michonne and Carl discovered. That house had paintings of a sunflower (like Mary grows) and a painting of a woman with a similar hairstyle (it was streaked in blood).

Is she is connected to the house where Michonne found a room full of bodies, Mary becomes a little more sinister.

Here's a capture of the images:

Right? If a group like Daryl's gang showed up it wouldn't look like they could stop them from taking over the whole place. Yeah, she is probably grillin' human parts or something. Make a plate, y'all!

If I am Glenn and the group, I would have run away from Terminus as fast as possible. No visible people, no security, peculiar signs of life. It just seems so....wrong.

This is not going to end well. Between the crew Darryl is with and whatever evil is in Terminus, there will be a lot of blood and death on Sunday.

At this point, I can only see the following as safe:

Carol, Darryl, Carl and Michone

I think Glenn and Maggie get it and in a shock, so does Rick. The last four survive the carnage, move on and we wait for next season to see where.

I think she is Sela and the Romulans caused the plague and they are wearing portable cloaking devices in Terminus to ambush the heroes.

So, is the Scientist full of shit or what?

Is all that video game talk supposed to make us not take him seriously but it turns out he's actually right?

If you read the comics, you would know. My wife got me the two compendiums (Issues 1-100) for Christmas, so I know what up with Eugene, and it's taken me everything I have not to spoil anything for her. I just keep on smilin' and noddin'.

Full of shit or not, the way he talked and behaved made me want to punch him in the face.

Speaking of that, Glen is a fool to give up his riot gear, then go into a dark tunnel with a unarmed limping woman.

It was interesting to see how Daryl went from red neck with Merl to civilized survivor (then having that scene with Beth where she said he has a good person) and now he's seemingly back in the red neck world.

I have to admit, I -do- understand why the gang is pissed off at Rick, but in this world I'd probably shrug it off.
A battle isn't worth the time and effort.

The Lovely Mrs. Tracker dismisses the character as too cartoony to be credible, and I again invite her down to the comic shop. I have met so many Eugenes. It's funny how he and the Macho Archers pop up at the same time because they seem to have climbed atop the wreckage from opposite angles.

I hope someone makes mention to him of their time at the CDC, and what they learned there and after.

I don't watch this show at all but some of this stuff sounds dangerously over the spoiler-ish line.

Well, it's pretty hard to spoil, since they are consistently doing things different from the comic book, but I did pick up a clue last night that I thought would be interesting to people. I wouldn't call it any different than lost-era speculation.

The trick is that we know you know.:-) With Lost, all the viewers were equally clueless, which is what made guessing & speculation fun. Darlton were basically the only ones who ever posted who knew anything. Not nearly as gratifying to speculate when half the other viewers do already know.

And, from Talking Dead this year, it seems pretty clear that they're veering back toward doing things the same as the comics. An interesting meta-speculation is that this may have been the major point of contention that led to Mazzara leaving the show. That's my guess!

BTW, I'm still watching idly, but I'm not nearly as invested as I was. I thought the Mazzara era was the best, & don't think it's been at all as engaging this year.

When I'm invested in a show, I'm a complete spoiler-hater.

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
I was so sure about Eugene from his very beginning that I looked up the spoiler. It was so clearly, appallingly obvious to me, pretty much from his introduction, that I wasn't "wondering" any more -- it was just grating on me. Its a good example of why I'm not so into it these days.

I'm the opposite. I got really bored of bickering on the farm and bickering in prison. Splitting these guys up and giving them more character development has made this season far less tedious, and I rarely find myself rooting for the zombies anymore.

The only complaint I really have right now is that the zombies have been downgraded to nuisance.
