We have to talk about Rick's upgrade in ruthlessness. Much like the Governor did to Merle, Rick killed an intruder in his house and opened the bathroom door so the body would arise as a walker and attack his fellow intruders. That's cold, son. That's a new precedent for him. I'm impressed. Then again, this is Rick defending yet another invaded sanctuary, and his only other weapon was a small trophy.
Glen and Tara talk with Abraham Ford/Sheamus who believes he can escort a scientist to Washington DC and that the scientist knows what caused the awalkerlypse. Glen asks what it was, and the scientist (played maybe by a CGI Bill Hicks) says it's classified. All the bullshit alarms should go off. Eugene the scientist then shoots their truck to ward off walkers, leading Ford to yell the exquisite SON OF A DICK. Ford's small group decides to follow Glen back to the prison area (about three hours by truck) to find Maggie.
Michonne opens up to Carl about her maternity as they investigate a house, and she finds a chilling child's bedroom with corpses. Her new demeanor - joking and charming and warm -- is a giant change in her character, and I'm intrigued to see more of her, and whether she can maintain this new air. The episode ends with her, Carl, and Rick headed toward Terminus, following the path of Carol's group (and Judith).
People are changing, and I like it.

I didn't care for this episode. It's treading old ground a bit. Michonne is FINALLY becoming a flushed out character, but that's about it.

Before I'd believe that guy had any ability to save the world, I'd be asking some pretty important questions -
Is the world 6,000 years old? What are your feelings on evolution? How many Lynyrd Skynyrd albums did you own? (Two are important, one is a matter of taste...)
And I can't look Abraham Ford without wanting to ask if he intends to Super Size It. I do like his character quite a bit, though...
I think the big moment will be the Grimes Family reunion with Judith. Other than that, the only reason I want the group back in one place is that these episodes are starting to feel a little Games of Thrones - except there's not nearly as much going on. We're walking over here, walking over there, etc etc.

I think someone's going to have to put down Lizzie. She may be beyond salvaging.

I thought Rick just choked the guy unconscious, like the dude by the bed.

Then why open the bathroom door, allowing the others to possibly find their guy and know something was up? Because he was dead, and walkers can't use doorknobs (if we ignore the one who did in the pilot).

Originally posted by GRLThe Lara Croft comparison is apt. I'm going to throw on my guy hat here and say "yeah - does she need to be dressed in so little?"
Eugene shot that truck on purpose. Son of a dick, indeed.
This is the conversation I had with my wife when we were watching this.
Wife:"Is that outfit useful for an apocalypse?" Me:"I doubt it. But it's very Lara Croft-ish, so it must be useful for adventures..but not when you can die from getting bitten or scratched" -girl bends over to pick up the gun- Wife:"Geeeez, that's very gratuitous!" Me:"Yeah... (and in my thoughts:That outfit is awesome! Best ever!)"
I wasn't 100% sure if it was the guy that Rick choked out. The dude that was killed next to his bed wasn't shot in the head either was he? I don't remember.. But it seems very likely that Rick opened the door on purpose. The whole thing with him creeping around while you heard those guys was kind of freaky in a cool way.
Smiling Michonne is awesome. She looks like a whole different person. I liked how she told her story and got Carl to do stuff for her. It made Carl look more like a kid and a lot more likable.
Eugene and Abraham are great characters so far, I like them.

I don't think the first guy was dead. I was sure I saw his mouth still moving and assumed he was choked out.
I could be wrong though. It's always possible that like Tara in Buffy, the dude was dead but just forgot to hold his breath during close-ups.
Rick could have been hedging his bets too. Maybe the first guy turns first, or maybe his bathroom one turns first. At least with the door open his has a chance of attacking the group.
