And it grows less applicable every week. As teams get scratched off lists, the most attractive team is inevitably going to be a road team. Road teams win every week in the NFL. In fact, in the early round of games today, home teams went 4-4.

Oh... No, the OTHER thing. ;-)

I was gonna repeat "you guys GOTTA stop picking against the Lions - it's gonna bite you, I swear" but then, they keep losing (getting screwed?) so I can't ever really justify saying it.

EDIT: Also, you may not have been picking against the Lions before this week, AND I may have not actually said it before except in my own mind. So forget I said anything after all. SEE YOU NEXT SUNDAY

I think it was the Bills you've been saying would be a team that would burn people.

A game that goes to overtime after having the 300-lb. lineman attempt and miss an extra point (HELLO! You couldn't use your PUNTER?), attempting an ill-advised pass play to stop the clock on 3rd down when your opponents have no time outs, getting a moronic late hit penalty to set up the game-tying field goal.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Detroit Lions!

Nick Harris, the Lions punter, is also the place kick holder. Rather than having a new holder and a new kicker, they just had a new kicker.

I think what they did actually makes sense for XP, since the it's not a tough kick if you can kick at all, but the holding is going to be tricky with a new person wherever you line up. There's a distance where the kicking becomes more important the holding, but I think it's farther back then the two yard line.

(I would've just gone for two!)

Forget the Bills and the Lions, do the survivors ride the rest of the season by betting against the Cowboys? Ye gods, that performance was wretched!

It's not like he completely blew it - it bounced off the upright but it had good distance.

White Wes hit HIS PAT for the Patriots today. It was (sadly) the highlight of the game.

Man, I really feel for that family ... makes you really wonder this time if Brett's considering hanging it up after season's end.
