Last year everybody was out by Week 10, if I count my weeks correctly, so I believe this is the longest run in W Survival leagues we've had. (I anxiously await being corrected by someone less lazy to look this up than I am)
Carl Next Door PHI MIA Try Not to Pick the Colts PHI MIA Normal Distribution PIT @NYJ
Our finalists' picks so far:
Try Not to Pick the Colts: BAL CHI DAL DET GNB NWE PHI SDG SEA TEN WAS Carl Next Door: BAL CHI DAL IND NWE NYG PHI PIT SDG SEA WAS
Looking at the non-intersections in this list AND next week's schedule, I have a hunch we just MAY see different picks from these two next week, which would be great, because I REALLY don't want another damn tie. (Although if you both could make it through all 17 weeks, that'd be cool too)
Thursday games mean we get an early look at the picks.
Team Try Not to Pick the Colts (Gugs): PIT over MIA
Our Commissioner sticks to his guns (Colts win again) and bravely picks against the winless Fins. I fully expect this to come back and bite him. Rumours that the 1972 squad have champagne on standby for a celebration of the first Miami win this season should be taken as having been started by Bizarro world inhabitants.
Carl Next Door (Kevintripod): ARI over SFO
A truly baffling pick with the obvious Packers pick RIGHT THERE, although I can understand the reluctance to pick a road team. I know the 49ers are awful, but "I'm picking the Cardinals" awful? I secretly think he just wanted to make a pick in the Monday night game to keep me from remembering to make a results post, just in case he misses it.
In short...both men gone and I'm making another joke about kissin' your sister in 96 hours. That's my call. What's yours? PLACE BETS NOW
Why did I post like THIS was the Monday game? Oh well, at least I was right. (But I was seriously doubting myself several times - but then, I didn't know that Rackers wasn't up for making the EASY field goals)
Commish, it's yours to lose on Monday. I think we can guarantee that Miami win now.
