I'm in another of these where you have to make your picks for all 17 weeks before the start of the season. You can do either a "Winner" or a "Loser".

I had the Bears to win this week. Of course, five people had the Chargers. That pool ended when one guy hit on his pick of Indianapolis to beat Denver.

Actually, those are the two reasons I made the choice I did. I really really wanted to pick the Jets, but didn't because they were on the road.

However, I have used up some pretty good teams now. It'll be interesting trying to keep this going...

Exactly my thinking. That's why I am now a spectator.

The Jets are an underrated bad team. I had faith in Chad Pennington and it paid off with that dead duck INT in the end zone.

I think he really did want to lose. Why else would you pick KC against Jacksonville, really.

I know they are a better team at home, blah, blah, blah. They are a crappy team and Jacksonville is a good team, it was a bad pick...

Glad to actually be able to pick Houston in one of these pools... Had to sweat it out, but thanks Kris Brown!

Am I right in thinking everybody reamining had/has already picked New England?

I picked them in Week 3 against Buffalo; so far, I've managed to survive without having to pick the Colts.

Looking at the group picks, everyone who's left has picked the Patriots. The two who got eliminated had not picked New England. Saving those good teams doesn't really work when you never get to pick them.

The second biggest favorite on the board right now is Dallas (home vs Minn), but everyone left has picked Dallas.

Depending on how the Giants look tonight, it should be them or the Redskins (+7.5 home versus Tim Rattay's Cardinals) as the next best choice.

I'm still alive in a survival league that had about 15,000 entries, and has a top prize of $5,000. I'm very lucky to be there. I hadn't made a pick in week 2, and the rules of that league state that you get the first team alphabetically. Luckily, Arizona won that game, and somehow I've survived until now (possibly longer than I ever have, we're down to about 500 entries). Used New England in week 5, and Philadelphia in week 6. I have to remember to keep making picks though, because the next team alphabetically is Atlanta, which I don't really trust.

Second week in a row I've gotten my pick in so early that I forgot who I actually picked. Thanks for being really stupid, Ken.

I must say I thought I was done with that Redskins pick... I really thought they would bounce-back from that Patriot thrashing and do some thrashing of their own. No such luck.

However, I survived, at least for another week.

Now what???

Interesting that of this group, nobody's used a pick on "sure thing" Green Bay yet. ;-)

Have YOU seen a game where we were a sure thing yet? :-) I even called myself out on the group message board saying I was going with a road team against better judgement.

Not that it counts, but New Orleans for this week. You see, I COULD have said GB, but I don't want to jinx anything.

And just like that, we're cut in half and down to three.

I hope I didn't talk anybody into picking the Pack this week! More importantly, I hope Sec19Row53 didn't talk anybody into picking the Saints! ;-)
