I remembered that I still needed to make a pick for this week. Unfortunately, I remembered at 12:59.

I would like to take this opportunity to blame Jim Zorn's playcalling and William Clay Ford's ownership.

Picking Detroit (or even St. Louis)......ballsy move.

I would have stayed the hell away from that game.

Likewise. This is the longest I have ever lasted in one of these. I usually make a pick on Monday just so I don't forget and sometimes I change it later in the week, but I don't want to me the same fate as Nuclear Winter.

It was indeed. I wasn't enamored with my choices this week at all, and just figured I wouldn't be selecting Detroit in any other week anyways. Unfortunately, the "horrible team needing a win badly" mojo outdid the "they may be a bad team that loses but it's at home and they at least score points" football logic.

Major sports media all seems to say it's an almost done deal for Pete Carroll. Certainly a strange move. Then again it seems his teams at USC don't have the work ethic they used to, like they got spoiled from winning so much.
