Carnage's picks of pain DAL 17.28% WAS
Pieman's Wild-Ass Guesses PIT 13.91% @KAN
Reacharound Cupcake NOR 6.12% @TAM
I meant to do this earlier, but let's take a look at how our survivors have managed to survive thus far - surprisingly similar set of picks, actually:
Carnage: ATL BAL CHI DAL IND MIN NOR NWE PHI PIT SDG
Pieman: ATL BAL GNB IND MIN NOR NYG PHI PIT SDG WAS
Goon: BAL DAL GNB IND MIN NOR NWE NYG PIT SDG WAS
Again, with only one home team picked, I'm certain we'll soon be able to name our winner!

I am feeling pretty good about my chances with Pittsburgh this week and New England still in my pocket.

I was at a restaurant last night and in the corner of my eye I could see that the Dolphins and the Panthers were playing. I got a little freaked out because I couldn't remember if I had made my pick or not (one week tends to blend into another).

Thank goodness I did, even though I have no memory of doing so.

As a Brown's fan, my only shining spot this year has been this Survivor pool. On a day when they lock up the #1 pick, I eke out a one point victory. Bring on The Goon!

And then there were two...

I only wish I had gone with the same picks in my office survival pool, with hundreds of dollars to be won.

I will have to really study this week, as I'm out of "Yeah, I'm confident they'll win" teams.

I was telling my sons about this pool before the games and they got all excited upon finding I was in the final three and said "well, how much money will you get if you win?" They got very unexcited very quickly when I responded "um, none."

You did use this as another chance to hammer home the lesson that sometimes the journey is the reward, didn't you?

Yes, I'm in to defend my championship in one of the 20-team leagues and my third-place finish in the 12-team league. What the hell would we do without FFL? :)
