Amazingly, all 48 people made a pick in time!

(Amazingly, we almost hit the 50 participant limit!)

Of course, I have to wonder if the Buffalo and Miami picks are people who mistakenly picked losers. Anybody want to cop to those picks?

Actually, Buffalo is favored by 1 against Seattle. The Seahawks offense looks positively abysmal this year, and Buffalo has put together a decent team.

AND Buffalo is the home team. You're totally right. The guy making the SEATTLE pick should be the one making with the explanations!

By the way, this week's most popular picks:
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/survival/pickdistribution

1. New England (20.84%)
2. Pittsburgh (14.70%)
3. Philadelphia (11.37%)

LEAST popular picks:
32. Kansas City (0.03%)
31. Houston (0.03%)
30. St. Louis (0.03%)

I think this might be a rolling total since these numbers are different from my earlier post (which means they may not be as helpful in later weeks as I might have thought).

Seattle's been consistently underrated every year, compared to a Buffalo team that's usually touted as a sleeper, but doesn't wake up until late in the season. The Seahawks don't choke until playoff time, anyway.

Although, in retrospect, I probably should have gone with the Patriots.

Yah, I went there. I picked Miami over the Jets; I think that while Farve is a great quarterback, maybe the Dolphins are hungrier. They've had a very rough couple of years, but maybe they're due for a resurgence.

I'm not expecting a defensive game between the two, because neither have a good defensive core.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one with the Arizona pick. I'll never believe that any great NFL QB would have the name of J.T. O'Sullivan. I just don't. Now if Gore run for 3 TDs and somehow plays on Defense too, then I'm in trouble.

Seattle is banged up, Buffalo is at home. I suck and bomb in the first week annually, so I figure, "Why not go for the gusto?" It was the best I could think of for a week 1 pick.

Isn't stupid norv redundant?
And, as bad as the Falcons were last year, why trust Matt Millen's team in Week 1? Or any week for that matter.

In the space of little more than a month, I got married and started a new job, yet making my pick for this seemed more stressful than either of those things.

Thank you very, that was fun. I went with my gut (which is basically the opposite of logic) and was wrong.

Heck, there's always next year!

I don't know why a point about Brady Quinn's career not being over has devolved into a topic about his current merits, but I never said he's been any good in his career. I'm saying he has a chance to and he's still young. Give him a chance.
