Not that I should admit this, but I'm no chance (thragger) for the record. I don't really follow college basketball, but its been fun being unemployed and able to follow all the games these last few days.
You believe me, don't you? Please believe what I just said...
Man, the ACC is killing me. I picked Duke to win the first round, I picked Maryland to win today and I picked Marquette (who wasn't even there) to beat North Carolina. I just can't get any ACC games right.
Never have faith in a team coached by Rick Barnes pieman. That is what is going to drop you out of the 98% range like a stone. If they broadcast the 1st half of UCLA/Indiana to a penitentiary can the inmates sue for cruel and unusual punishment? The ACC has been a 1 team league all year, and the tourney is proving it. Florida could have an interesting week: First, they face a Butler team that they needed a last second shot to beat on the path to their first National Title Game. Then, the possibility exists for them to face a former coach who took them to a Final Four who is now coaching a team that everyone believed was going to repeat 16 years ago before the refs swallowed their whistles late in the game, costing Vegas and Tark the Shark an unbeaten repeat. That might have been the wackiest Saturday since '81 when everything went berserk at once. And, the 2 words of the day were: Free Throws.
Ugh, Butler and Lon Kruger, I hope we kill them both. Noah dominated the NCAA Tournament last year, it's Horford's turn this year.
After seeing Ohio State just get by Xavier I'm liking my Tennessee over Ohio State pick more every minute. Tennessee played close againt Oden and OSU earlier this year and Durant and Texas too. They're also 3 and 1 against Horford/Noah. I think they'll be ready for that game.
Hinrich was high on the Lakers' wish list, so this is a loss for them. I remember that both Bibby and Hinrich have seen better days. Hinrich was a very capable #2 on the young post-Jordan Bulls and Bibby came within a Tim Donaghy of the Finals.
