Steve Spurrier resigned today as Florida's head coach, leaving behind one of (or maybe) the highest paying positions in college football. I wonder if he's already lined up for something in the NFL (Jax?? Atl??), or maybe there's NCAA trouble in Gainsville, and he's getting the hell outta Dodge. The Vandy fan in me hopes its the latter...Stay tuned.

Not to double post but I will. Like I said in the Orange Bowl thread, Green risigning just a couple hours before Spurrier is probably not a coincidence.

From what I hear, he's a 365 day a year golfer, and Minnesota weather conditions don't exactly accomodate him there. I think he'll stay in the south...he may not even leave the state from what I hear.

So the NFL thinks it's better for the Lions just to waste everyones time going through the motions of interviewing people they have no interest in.
