Karlos where are you?

Interesting episode, with Nash's knees and Hall's drunkenness making them take 2 hours to find Angle's Thanksgiving dinner.

Which took way too many segments but Awesome Kong catching the drumstick in the food fight and devouring it was 12 kinds of awesome.

Chris Harris going straight for Robert Roode instead of the guy who tried to blind him (James Storm) was surprising but maybe AMW are on their way back.

The less said about Black Reign the better. Watching clips of Goldust on Youtube makes me wonder what the hell happened to Dustin since he used to be a highlight of Raw and now is an automatic eye roll on Impact.

Sabin/Joe/Styles was the best match I've seen this year. Just incredible work from all three. My roommate hates non one-on-one matches and even he said it was match of the year. Of course I don't bother with most PPVs so I should say best free match.

I was actually okay with the turkey dinner bits.

I thought the Turkey Bowl match was fine, but lacked flow. They really hacked that thing to bits with all the commercial breaks.

I taped this on Thanksgiving to watch after my family left, but the second half was all wonky -- Spike was pixellating and cutting out all night. So I didn't get to the second half until the replay.

The first half -- I have quibbles. The qualifying matches felt really...perfunctory? It felt like they were really just racing through them. I'm disappointed that they jobbed out Jay Lethal again and for no real reason -- not to mention that he's pinned by accident.

(Again, this isn't about Lethal per se -- it's about the X Div. championship. I really, really miss the days when the X Title was the equal of the World Title -- it never really quite was, of course, but it main evented PPVs, a situation which seems inconceivable right now. I don't want them to hire any more WWE guys, but if they do, it would be great to see them hit the X division and push it up the card again. RVD, for instance, could do this. Or maybe Carlito. Or Heidenreich!)

I was also a little sad not to see Kaz at all -- I was hoping that he'd at least show up to Kurt's dinner to remind him that he came that close to beating him and that Kurt better watch out. But no, unless I missed it (and I confess I skimmed the dinner segments) Kaz was absolutely nowhere to be seen. Hopefully it doesn't mean that they've just decided to drop his push.

(Speaking of dropped pushes, I was happy to see the Daniels/XXX promo -- there's so much they could be doing with them. We'll see if this goes anywhere.)

You know, I don't really mind the Black Reign gimmick -- the outfit is growing on me and I like that the rat sits on his head at the dinner table -- I just wish someone other than Dustin was playing him. James Mitchell should turf him and replace him with Awesome Kong -- seriously, I think she could go toe to toe with Abyss. (Plus, her and Rellik already have matching outfits!)

While on the subject of big mean women -- I do like ODB even though she's almost, really, just too much. I am not surprised that the Impact Zone was chanting for her.

And then, yes, the Main Event. Really fun match -- I don't know if I liked it quite as much as Johnny, but probably more than Loco. It is too bad about the commercial breaks, but I guess what can you do.

But WOW -- three of the best young TNA-made stars in the ring (I know, I know -- but as far as most of the TV audience is concerned, they're TNA originals), no WWEjects, no run-ins, no ref bumps, and all three guys looked really good.

This is EXACTLY what I want to see out of TNA, but we so rarely get it -- I'm honestly a little startled that this didn't end up being Cage vs. Roode vs. Kip James or something.

So yeah, quibbles or whatever, but I can't complain too much -- there's been some really good stuff showing up lately.

I realize that Thanksgiving night is a throwaway show, but I can't help but get a little excited about seeing Chris Harris sit next to James Storm at the dinner table. That AMW reunion is coming! I can feel it! And I'm sure they'll last at least a month before Russo gets the urge to tease dissension between them again.

This angle between Styles and Christian is getting very interesting. And if the payoff results in a kick-ass one-on-one match, then everyone wins.

I also enjoyed the main event, but honestly, at that point I was still banging my head against the table over the announced Feast or Fired match. Seriously, what the hell is Russo's fascination with sticking objects on poles?

Other than that, I didn't take it as anymore than the usual throwaway holiday show. Turkey leg is the new cake!

I don't mind the dinner segments or AJ having to dress up like a turkey since this was one of those cheesy holiday episodes especially since there were a few moments that made me chuckle like Kong eating like there is nothing going on during the food fight and then snatching a piece of food out of the air. Or when AJ is in the ring with the turkey suit and Angle music hits and he lifts up the turkey head to peek out the same way he does with his hood.

I agree with what other said too. Excited to see a Daniels segment, looking forward to Christian/AJ, Sabin gets another good win against D-Von.

I was also disappointed to see no Kaz, in fact they probably should've let him win the Turkey Bowl. A win over Christian, a great match against Angle, and then this match would be a great roll for him. Plus putting Joe in the tournament just made it completely obvious who was going to win.

The best part was when Awesome Kong showed up at the Thanksgiving dinner, and from offscreen, you can hear Jay Lethal in his Macho Man voice thinking that she's Kamala. I had to pause the DVR until I could stop laughing. It wasn't even that funny but it just had me rolling.

No, it was very funny. I think that was my favorite part of the episode as well. The Pacman line was a close 2nd. For a throwaway episode, it was one of their better efforts in a long time.

I wouldn't call it MOTY, but Joe/Sabin/AJ was definitely one of the best TV matches of the year. One segment was only about 2 minutes, which hurt it some. Not Cena-HBK, but stil a great TV match.

I can totally see Tomko doing this. In fact, instead of most episodes of Impact, I'd rather watch two hours of Styles and Tomko playing Halo. Tomko is one of my very favourite guys in all of wrestling and all he has to do is stand there and look exasperated.

Welcome home, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard! Good luck to those down south.

Wow...I didn't even see this episode of "iMPACT!" and I'm entertained by AJ Styles's website apology thingy.

That man is funny.

That's awesome. I really hope they are building to a slow face turn for AJ to feud with Christian. He has been neutered by Christina for so long, it's as if he has forgotten that he was a 3 time World champ. It is one of the better slow buring story lines they have done in a while.

I know that AJ has been made out to be like a joke but on the other hand he's been damn funny and though he's won the World Title on a few occasions his personality was boring as hell back then.

I also love Tomko right now, he seems unimpressed by absolutely everything going on. I'm sure eventually Styles will turn face and he'll have a feud with Christian but I'm worried what happens with Tomko then.

Also, I heard a rumor that Christian will start his own group and one member could be Roode. I can get behind that although I would prefer a reunited heel AMW.

I have not heard this...but what if he gets Roode and AMW? That would actually be...pretty sweet!

As far as AJ -- Tenay and/or West have brought up once or twice lately how being around Cage hurts Styles' self-confidence, so there are definitely seeds planted for something -- and for Styles to stop being a "joke" once he finds the confidence to stop toadying around.

Hopefully they can find a fine line between serious and amusing for AJ.

The AMW split has really not worked out at all. Storm is more entertaining than Harris, but that is not saying all that much. At least he is good for a few laughs. Harris just makes me want to turn the channel. Some guys are just life long tag guys, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. The fact that they didn't beat the crap out of each other at the Angle Thanksgiving sure does make me hopeful.

This was the first TNA I've caught since like June and call me crazy but I find ODB very, VERY, smoking hot.

No, really.

She's the only reason I'm going to tune in this week. That and I don't have the NFL network. Stupid Comcast.

While maybe not hot, I do dig her gimmick. Beats the usual bubble chested bleach blonde.

Ok now if they do things like THIS every week I will tune in religiously:

From TNAwrestling.com:

Late Friday night, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles contacted TNAwrestling.com with a statement regarding his former mentor, "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage.

According to Styles, he has attempted to contact Cage since Thursday's "IMPACT!" broadcast. However, "The Instant Classic" is apparently ignoring AJ's calls. As a result, Styles has asked us to post this statement in the hopes that Cage will read it before Thursday's broadcast:

Dear Boss,

I'm pretty sure you're upset with me. I tried to get in touch with you all day on Friday, but you won't return my calls or text messages. You blocked me on AOL Instant Messenger and won't reply to my Facebook pokes. Heck, I even tried sending you a game invite when I saw you playing Halo 3 online, but you ignored that too. I would have let you frag me with sticky grenades as much as you wanted if it made you feel better. You know, just like old times!

Now, I can understand why you're mad at me after what happened on "iMPACT!" (you know, me accidentally winning the match when you had Jay Lethal beat). But hey, I paid for it in the end, right? I was the one who had to put on that ridiculous turkey outfit. Plus, I'm not sure if you're mad at me for not inviting you to Kurt's Thanksgiving dinner, but I made him promise me that he sent you an invitation. I'm not sure if it got lost or not, but I guess I should have just invited you in person.

I'm also really starting to get the feeling that you're mad at me for supposedly turning my back on you and joining Kurt Angle. But please believe me when I tell you it's all been a huge misunderstanding. When you made me the Captain of the Coalition, I knew I had to do all I could to help our team. That's why I talked to Karen Angle and figured out a way that BOTH sides could work together as an unstoppable unit. Can you imagine me, Tomko, you and Kurt as a team? Who could beat us? Tomko seems to think there's some heat between you and Kurt, but I'm not buying it. I even asked Kurt about it and he just rolled his eyes and walked away, so I know it can't be true!

Christian - I still consider you my close friend. My teacher. My mentor. I would never try to ruin that for anything. So this Thursday night on "iMPACT!", I have a plan that will put all these hard feelings behind us. I've requested interview time on Thursday to explain my idea - all I ask if that you hear me out and give it a chance. I think after Thursday, we'll all be one big happy family again!

I didn't want to post this on the internet for everyone to read, but it's the only way I knew to get my message to you.

See you on Thursday night, Boss. I'll have my cell phone close by in case you want to talk.

Your friend
AJ

PS - Please accept my Halo 3 invite next time you're online. I miss having you on my team and Tomko sucks at it...he keeps killing me with friendly fire - most of the time I think he's doing it on purpose.

I think that's just known as the 450 or Phoenix Splash. Juventud Guerrera used to do it once in a while. I think Blitzkrieg even threw a corkscrew in there somewhere.
