I thought Taylor was very attractive, the WWF would have probably sent her out to get an "upgrade" in the chest area though, I always preferred her to Nidia on TE1, but Nidia has proven to be quite an asset, she's talented for sure.

If you thought Taylor was good-looking then, you should see her now. Totally hot.

I'll bet her refusal to get the requisite WWE breast implants is one big reason why she hasn't joined Vince's circus yet. Taylor has a growing rep in Japan based mostly on her athletic ability.

Besides, implants on a short girl don't make her look better, they make her look worse.

And for the millionth AND ONE time, lay off Jackie Gayda. I've seen Randy Orton blow WAY more spots than she did, and no one says shit. Remember when Undertaker almost killed Test with a blown Last Ride? How about 3 Minutes blowing the run-in a few weeks back? Or Jeff Hardy on the PPV?

Typical sexist bullcrap.

But he's MISTER Electricity! His debut(s) popped ratings, healed the blind, and broke attendance records somehow!

But seriously, am I alone in wanting to see the Hawk/Scott/Josh show?

FYI, somewhere Jake has just put out a fire and he still has the personality of cardboard.

Meanwhile, a teenager who spends lots of time on the internet has been badly beaten in a K Mart. He now regrets asking where the wrestling figures are. MARK OF THE HAWK!

BTW I think this season has been a conspiracy to eliminate the female part of the competition.

Not that I disagree with shea about people bringing up that match every time Jackie gets mentioned, but there really is a big difference between screwing up one or two spots and screwing up all the major spots in a 2 minute match.

Mentioning it certainly doesn't make a person sexist, it just means those blown spots stand out more than the usual ones, mainly cuz it was one mess up right after the other. Hell I can't think of a single thing Jackie did right in that match, not because of her sex but because of how obvious it was that she wasn't ready to be out there.

It certainly isn't something that should be held against her forever, so long as she gets better.

This is all ridiculous. You can't blame Jackie for that match. Sure, it was awful -- though I've definitely seen worse, and it didn't even turn my head at the time -- but she had practically zero training. Geez, what's so hard to understand here? Wrestlers train for years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years before they ever even have the privilege of Jim Ross and Bruce Pritchard standing next to a monitor in the back, paying half-hearted attention to their dark match.

How long did Jackie train? A few weeks? She was injured for quite a bit of it.

It is, simply, not her fault. If you threw friggin' Angle in there with the same level of experience, he'd do just as badly, mark my words.

And Taylor is blazing hot, and don't you forget it.

I think the problem with that match, more than her lack of training, was just how blatantly she blew the spots. She didn't really put all that much effort into making them look right. And considering the word out of OVW, she has almost no work ethic, either. I'm guessing she was basically TE2's version of Bobbie Jo.

The fact that she has no training is the reason she shouldn't have been in that match.
Is it her fault that she was thrown before the lions?
No.
Is it her fault that she looked totally lost and blew all her spots? For the largest part yes.

Can we say that she looked horrible, screwed up the match and shouldn't be on TV?
Hell yeah!! 'a jacky gayda' match is becoming a saying already. Nothing personal against her, but just a fact

Jesus, why is it sexist that we are making fun of the worst match ever to air on tv? It was truly, truly horrid. You don't see Orton falling down after a phantom bulldog! You don't see Jeff Hardy taking a bump for no reason and losing because of it! It's not sexist to say that the girl sucks. There are plenty of great women wrestlers. There are plenty of shitty guy wrestlers. We make fun b/c not only was it awful, but it is now the standard for how bad a match can be.

On a side note, instead of Linda Miles and Jacqueline, give me Jazz any day. Whoo boy! In all seriousness, though, I love Jazz. She makes everyone she wrestles look great. Look how she elevated Trish!

I always liked Taylor. She seemed really hungry for it, more so than anyone else. I mean, she said she literally had put all of her hopes and dreams into this one shot, and I couldn't help but like her. I was suprised when Nidia won, mostly because during the entire run of the season, Nidia seemed much more like a background character. But Nidia has won me over.

Add me to the list of people who though Taylor should have won it. It's nice to see that she's keeping up with her career too. I'd imagine that if the Women's division continues to be built up at all that we'll see her sooner rather than later back in WWE.

re: Taylor & Nidia

I wanted to point out -- I think most people here seem to be agreed that Nidia is pretty awesome in her role. I'm guessing that the people that pick the winners saw that in her, or saw something in her that has blossomed into that -- and they didn't see that in Taylor. And that's why Nidia won.

I think it's less likely that they made the choice randomly, or made the "wrong" choice, and then lucked into Nidia turning out this well.

I don't know if sexist is the right word, but I do think at times the women are under a microscope more then they should be. I'm not brushing everyone with a wide stroke but I have noticed (not saying here but Internet TV Reports) that if I girl messes up a bit it's highlighted even if the rest of the match is good but while guys (not named Jeff HArdy..lol) mess up but it's a good match anyways the mess up is a side note... Survivor Series I seen reports of the Women match calling it sloppy. I saw one muffed difficult spot which Victoria had Trish in a reverse bearhug and Trish tried to reverse it into a bulldog and they both stumbled forward and it didn't come off perfect. 1 spot in 8 minutes of great effort but it's called by some sloppy. While Mysterio gets his head caught under the ropes while running it and almost breaking his neck twice and it's just an afterthought on the entire review.

I always smile when I read a report whenever the crowd heat for a good women match is low it asks "Why are they wasting this crowd time on women matches" and at the same time when the crowd heat is low for a good cruisers match they ask "Damn crowd why aren't they reacting"... But it is getting better overall, a year ago, it didn't matter if it's a straight up women match or mixed match if it involved a woman it fell in the "worst match" category even if it was good. Now on the most part most internet writers atleast gives the match a chance.

I remember the Gayda match really well. I looked at Trish as I looked at Booker in his WWE match with Bagwell last year when Buff came in out of shape an unprepared, there was nothing really Booker can do much like Trish looked like she was trying to go through all her spots but Gayda after the first mishap had the deer in the headlights look to her... They did a real smart thing with Trish (which at the time was one of the more consistant performers on Raw) the very next week they put her right back on Live TV vs. Molly to say "Hey we know it's not your fault and we still have faith in you now go out there and there and do your thing". Going to Ohio was the best thing for Gayda as well.

The first spot looked like Gayda was suppose to drop toehold Trish onto the ropes(which Trish takes all the time), Trish ran towards her and Gayda just stood there, poor Trish had to hop on the ropes ala Terri entrance to stop her momentum. She looked at Gayda as in "what are you doing". Rest of the match it seemed like Trish was trying to calm her down talking to her. The last spot Trish was sitting on the turnbuckle seemed like forever waiting for Gayda to walk back towards her, she did once only to walk up 10 feet away from Trish again. So Trish went for it. Hit her forarm in the back of Gayda head enough to move Gayda's head forward but she didn't bother going down. I've never seen a winner of a match look so angry(lol) Trish looked pissed she starred a hole right through Gayda. To put icing on the cake Lilian announced the winner is "Trish Stratus" forgetting it was a mixed tag with Bradshaw =)

Saying all that I don't consider this worst match of the year. Oh yeah this match was bad. But I put the 3 PPV main events o' crap this summer as a bit worse. Gayda/Trish was like banging your foot against the bed it hurt a lot for a bit but it wasn't as painful as sitting through Hogan/HHH, TAker/Hogan and Taker/HHH for 20 minutes as the main event of Pay Per views. Sitting through those matches were like a nagging tooth ache.

As for tough enough
Nowinski - rules, I adore the guy. He's so witty and funny. His wrestling isn't the greatest but he's taking some wicket shots like this week and I remember in a match with him and Molly v. Trish/Bubba where Trish was laying on a table outside and he went for a big dive from the top and she moved and he crashed right through the table! (that was a great match how was that nominated as worst match?, please don't tell me Lawler idiotic speak about hymen cloud peoples judgement of the match)

Nidia- I'm with the majority, I was surprised and thought Taylor deserved it more and that Nidia only won because she has a bigger rack. But she really has become a real fun character and seems really comfortable in her role and in front of the camera

Maven - The only problem with him is that he hasn't really broken away from "tough enough" participant like the two people I mentioned. I don't even think of Nidia as TE girl and same as Nowinski, I think of him as harvard snob not TE guy unless he's in tht feud. Maven hasn't found his on niche yet. I think he will, he's talented. he's decent in the ring, he seems comfortable and good getting promos across so it's a matter of time until catches up to Nidia & Nowinski

Linda Miles- Haven't seen much of her. I like her look. It's unique the track and field isn't the normal diva look. Felt really bad for her when it seemed like early round of Undressed in WWENY she was booed badly (what jerks) but later rounds they came around to her. I liked her in tough enough and she seems okay from the little I saw her on WWE TV

Jackie Gayda - From day one on TE I thought she was a complete mess. I don't think she's pretty (but won't really hold that against her as a performer, eye of the beholder and stuff like that). Her attitude on TE was annoying. She comes to WWETV and IMO one or the worst interviews in the company. Sounded.. like... she's... reading... off... cue.. cards. Which upset me more because the promoted that as something so important on TE2. And then ofcourse to top it off the 'gayda' match. And her Sable-esk attitude on Blind Date didn't make me crave to see Ms. Gayda on my TV soon.

Thank you NetHackSlasher -- finally the voice of reason!

But it's not just that. It's also the vitriol, the viciousness of the snickering that's always reserved SOLELY for the women. It's got a nasty edge to it that I just don't like. And Jackie Gayda, for all her faults, didn't deserve THAT.

Shin Strife says...
I overall think its a success,I think the choice for some TE2 winners weren't the best picked. I actually wasn't watching the Gayda/Stratus match as I was busy on the net so I won't bash what I never have seen

And yes, where the hell is Hawk and Kenny? They were in my opinon the best Talent TE 2 had to offer,I mean Kenny could sell like a champ and Hawk could cut a pretty bad ass promo, plus if he was still bald he could of Teamed with Angle(man that would be awesome)

Mattitude(ma't-e-toodeh'): Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives Matt Hardy Ver.1 an advantage over everyone else.

Hawk's hanging out in UPW (former home of Cena and Victoria) - Click Here, he's about 1/3 of the way down the page, and he's growing his hair back. As for Kenny, I don't know.

I do believe they should have picked Kenny over Jackie, though. Whereas they thought Kenny was a great seller (and the next JTTS), Gayda was only picked (IMO) because she overcame failure from not being picked for the first TE and she kept working with a knee injury. The girl has heart, which is good, but she apparently has no skill, considering that stinker of a mixed tag with Trish. Reports from OVW seem to indicate that she's still a deer in headlights, and that can't be good for anyone.

It seems like they're weeding out the crap more efficiently this season, and as entertaining as Scott's character is, I'm surprised he's still there. Then again, they haven't showed us much of anything as far as bumptaking is concerned recently, so I don't really know how he (or anyone else) is progressing in the ring.

Unless I read wrong, didn't they have him wrestle Christian after only a few days of training?

Anyways, I do agree with you on it not being her fault. The WWE seems to forget that the WRESTLERS have the WRESTLING talent, and not the writers. The bookers should have put her in there with someone who could cover for her better than Trish could have. I think Taz said that on their website too right after that match. Trish simply doesn't know how to carry someone with zero experience to a decent match when they start to screw up. What she SHOULD have done is lock in an armbar and tell Gayda to calm down and count to 10 or something to regain her composure.

As for people wondering why they choose the two women instead of the much more talented men, the reason is pretty simple. The WWE HAS to pick two winners. The problem is that they had a roster FULL of men that they had absolutely NO idea what to do with at the time. Do you really think they thought for a single second that adding two more men that they'd HAVE to give TV time to would not make things many more times worse?

Women, they know what to do. "Put them in a bikini, banana-on-a-pole match" Vince says, and the match happens, but for the men, they were shit out of ideas back then.

I love the women competitors. I am a huge huge Jazz mark. Trish Stratus's improvement in the ring is incredible. Victoria makes me smile with her crazy antics. Molly Holly is one of the best women workers there are. Ivory, Jacqueline, Nidia... The list goes on. I'm not saying I dislike these people. Hell, I will be screaming like a 5 year old when Jazz comes back and decimates whoever is in her path. Jackie Gayda, however, deserves all the shit she gets from that match. Calling people sexist just because they believe she is flat out horrible is just lame. Jackie Gayda should just give it up and go back to cheating on her boyfriend or whining or whatever she does best. Linda Miles and Miles should by all means become a great superstar if she puts her heart into it. She was the only real favorite I had from TE 2. Just my two cents.
