| #1 Posted on 23.3.03 2219.25 | Anybody hear of this yet? A "supergroup" comprised of Pete Droge, Matthew Sweet, and Shawn Mullins ?
BTW- is it 'Shaun' when refering to a female ? And 'Shawn' when reffing a male ?

| #2 Posted on 24.3.03 1822.25 | Instant Rating: 6.75 | I'd put the order Matthew Sweet, Pete Droge & Shawn Mullins, but I'm biased. I've heard the first song thru the VH-1 website, and despite my almost worship of anything Matthew Sweet does, I was less than impressed with the song, but thought their harmonies sounded great. I'll wait until I hear more of the album before fully trashing it tho ;-)

| #3 Posted on 25.3.03 2150.35 | Another Sweet devotee, and I thought "I Can't Remember" sounds distinctly Eagles-esque. Good, but it reminded me a lot of the Eagles. The article at VH1.com made it sound like "Remember" is the ballad, and they were also writing some up-tempo rock numbers as well. I am looking forward to some new Sweet material.
Don't forget - Sweet just released a Japan-only album, "Kimi Ga Suri," today. Be sure to pick it up. I'm having it shipped as we speak!
(I think Shawn "Sunny Came Home" Colvin spelled it S-h-a-w-n. I could be wrong about that, tho.)
Mmmm... Ashley Judd. The perfect woman. 1) Absolutely gorgeous. 2) Loves UK basketball. 3) Was on Star Trek. What more can you ask for? |
