Perhaps this has been brought up before, but the spinning Wienerville thing is weird. It shows the name when the sign is perfectly aligned, then the word goes away. This would be fine, but the word reappears all of a sudden when the sign has turned just shy of 90 degrees. I think it would be best if the sign either said Wienerville all the time, or only said it when it was lined up. This half and half thing is confusing, and it kind of messes up your eyes if you stare it it.

It's like a flashing neon sign man. It just doesn't convey the neon in the pic

I was wondering why my paychecks were disappearing rather quickly.

I like it. Kinda reminds me of one of those spinning signs for older restaurants. Perfect.

Considering it's the revolving logo off the main Wienerschnitzel page, it's probably what CRZ was going for.

Yes - the Wienerschnitzel Connection was already covered here as well.

It's an animated GIF.

Don't expect any DVD quality material.

It's also easy, if it bugs somebody, to simply hit the Stop button and make the gif stop. Of course, that can be cumbersome when pages load and reload so often, but the option is there.

...OK, I'm confused. I don't see the Weinerville sign spinning. Is this something only XP users can see? Or Mac users? Please advise.

Time to get the logo updated? Isn't that the old White Castle logo?

I'm on '98 and I see the logo. You might have some kind of something changed in your IE/Netscape options.

My Win95 & Win2000 machines both see the animated gif ... well, animate. (Different versions of Netscape browser on each.) IncredibleHH, what's your machine configuration?

(And CajunMan, you're in New Orleans, one of the world's great food cities, pinin' for White Castles? That's just soooo saaaaaaaaaad.)

N.O. is maybe the one town in America where a White Castle/Krystal's could be saved from its own suck inertia.

P3/500/Win98. I'm probably going to upgrade to a P4/2G by year's end, but I don't know that I want to upgrade to XP just yet. I had NS installed once, but had to remove it because it kept crashing my machine. Thanks again for the help, it's much appreciated.

It might have to do with your browser. On my other computer, I use Opera (and you should know, it works great!), and the sign will spin once, and then just stop.

BTW, everyone should know that I don't hate the sign. I just feel the need to have consistency, i.e. either the word is always visible, or is only visible at one time (when the sign is lined up). It's just a pet peeve of mine.

Are you offering to "fix" it then?

You need to think in a rotating frame of reference, good sir. If you were spinning with the sign, you would see that it's supposed to be flashing on and off. Maybe spinning/flashing neon signs are a bad idea, but if you REALLY feel the need for consistency, well, then this is consistent with other spinning/flashing neon signs.
