"Of course the people don't want war ...but, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship ... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." ----------Hermann Goering, one of the original Nazis at his Nuremberg trial in 1946| Promote this thread! | | Enojado Viento

I specualte they wouldn't need 15 extra minutes if they hadn't wasted so much time this week and many many weeks before.
I'm expecting something in keeping with the season't quality level thus far--some decent bits surrounded by a LOTTA filler. Beyond that I haven't got much expectations, except that the big NY/NJ war won't happen, despite everyone prediciting it.

They seem to be building towards that. I think Paulie getting whacked is way too obvious now. Otherwise, I'd guess we'll see Carm read Tony the riot act. I can just picture her boarding a plane for Naples as the credits roll...

| #5 Posted on 2.12.02 1114.13 | Seeing how honest Johnny was with Paulie, it seems like Johnny is trying to walk Tony into a trap. If Junior's sent up the river, we know we have at least one whacking, and possibly four, for the juror who they have threatened. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Carmella left Tony, as it appeared they were close to doing that towards the end of last season. Didn't it also seem that this weeks show moved with fewer stagnant portions? What a coincidence, no Janice sightings at all.

| #6 Posted on 2.12.02 1325.16 | Instant Rating: 6.44 | I'll be the first to go left-field and say that Christopher is the guy who gets whacked next week. We didn't see anything from him last night, but in the previews for next week, Tony is telling Chris about not being able to get out of the mob once he is in. My guess is that Chris continues to have doubts, and right before he can get out, Carmine chooses Chris as the target of his retaliation against Tony. Oh, and I also predict that we find out that Furio (sp?) didn't go to Italy of his own accord. We find out that Tony was leery of Furio's antics at the casino and has him shipped back to Italy. Carmela finds out and leaves Tony as the season ends.

Adrianna for being flipped by the Feds Christopher for his drug abuse, seems like he's getting outta rehad awfullf quick.
Paulie Walnut for possibly being behind the death of Pie Oh My (just for starters)
Furio for he shit he tried to pull this week
Carmine or Johnny Sack for being with NY
The juror
And I'm sure you could make a case for others...

| #8 Posted on 2.12.02 1812.50 | One of the highlights of the TV season for me thus far was the look on Paulie's face when he realized he'd been fucked over by New York and fled the wedding reception. Classic. I expected him to go straight to Johnny Sack's and give him the Ralphie Treatment. Well, the Tony Soprano-delivered Ralphie Treatment, that is.
So what happens if Chase has Tony whacked? Would we celebrate his daring or complain that he's ruined the show by blowing away its core? I don't think we have to worry about it, of course; there's one presence we CAN take for granted.
By the way, from Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback column on CNNSI today:
"Missed The Sopranos. But I know the ending of next week's finale, because some HBO folks have clued me in. My lips are sealed. Don't test me. But let me just say this: Next Sunday's going to have some fireworks, folks."

Also, Peter King is a bitch. What person says "I know something really cool, so look at how cool that makes me! I know it and you don't! Hahahahaha!" Well, maybe I am paraphrasing a little, but that is basically what he was kinda quoted as saying, or at least meaning. He is still a tool.

| #11 Posted on 2.12.02 2150.40 | What, you want King to spoil it for you? He can hardly do that. And anyone who knows a secret that big is not going to be able to keep it to themselves that they know it.
How is he a tool, or a bitch? Because he knows something you don't?

| #12 Posted on 3.12.02 0823.24 | Instant Rating: 3.87 | I would not want anyone to spoil it for me. I think it is both bitch-like and tool-like to trumpet your own self-importance by telling the world that you have important connections (important to him), and that you know something that the millions of Sopranos fans want to know (not that most people want the suprise ruined, but they want to know). I agree, its no fun knowing a big secret unless people know you know it, but in my opinion, putting in his column = tool and = bitch.
[B]Thanks Iron Mike. I appreciate the link, and have been going to that site for the recaps and recaplets. The forum, in my opinion, is too much for me though.

Worst comes to worst, HBO will replay it 478 times during the week, so at some point it can be taped.
