Okay, I laughed and (re-)watched this several times last night. Add this to Spider Man III and Transformers for my movie viewing next year!

This has moved ahead of SpiderMan II on my list. And I will forever laugh a the phrase "Between a rock and a hard place".

Why make a big deal about not using 3D animation and then show a sequence using 3D animation?

I must be one of those complain-y, Internet type of people everybody hates, but I was kinda disappointed.

Maybe my expectations were raised too high given a few weeks of ads hyping the trailer (and let's hope only Burger King is dumb enough to sponsor ads FOR AN AD and this isn't a trend)?

No, the trailer was weak, given the hype. If this was the teaser, it would have been fine. But they already had a teaser, so I was expecting a little more content. Moe's deadpan was amusing, as was the "rock and a hard place" gag (especially the extra swing of the wrecking ball), but I wanted to see more than just Homer.

If they had made this movie in the early 90's, a trailer with no Bart in it would have been unfathomable.

Any movie trailer that shows Homer Simpson getting hit by a wrecking ball, smashed by a Paul Bunyan-esque elbow, stabbed by a giant fork and repeatedly crunched between a rock and a hard place, is alright with me.... I'm a sucker for that high-brow stuff.

It kind of fits considering how stale the Simpsons has been for years.

Kind of reminds me a bit of the South Park movie teaser trailer, when in 1999 I thought it was one of the most amazing things ever.

Sadly, it probably means that John Coleman is the one to watch. http://www.kusi.com/about/bios/weather/1838191.html I love that kooky old guy. That, or Jerry Coleman of the Padres announce team.
