Is this one of the few times when we can say "South Park did it!"
It's an Inception parody, years after the movie came out. Even with the dated plot, I still found some good laughs to be had here. Nothing beats Homer's super dream, filled with Moes, dead Flanders, and a roller coaster decorated with various incarnations of Homer. Also got a big kick out of the brief visit to Season 1 era Simpsons.
The episode wasn't high up on originality, but it was still a lot of fun. Good stuff this week.
Bart: Man, Homer, you were always a loser! Homer: Why you little...? There's nothing in this dream world that can't strangle you!
Homer's dream sequence was just "different" enough for this show to get a mild thumbs-up. Any time the Simpsons tries something even a little outside the box and strays from their normal routine, it's a plus.

Not having been familiar with the graphic novels and only having seen parts of the first movie, I thought this was very well done. A lot of fun, with great characters and costumes (well, they were probably CGI, but still looked terrific).
