This was one of the funniest episodes of the season, in terms of pure humor. I didn't think an episode that centered around Marge and Homer curling would be this good, but it was. Loved:
-Homer fantasizing about his idea of the Winter Olympics. -The Curly tryouts! The payoff with Moe slapping the lot of them was hilarious! -MILHOUSSE~! and Canadian Nelson -The return of the Boob Lady! -Fatof, mascot of the 2014 Winter Olympics!
A lot of good stuff and a pleasant surprise for tonight. Thumbs up!

MacGruber! Making life-saving inventions out of household materials! MacGruber! Getting in and out of ultra-sticky situations! MacGruber! The guy's a freakin' genius! MACGRUBER!
Good luck getting that theme song out of your head
I don't watch the Simpsons religiously anymore, but I'd like to think I watch it enough to know when I see a good episode, and this was a good episode. It was just clever, the way old episodes of the Simpsons often were.
On the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with the Lisa Olympics pin addiction B-plot, but it was mostly harmless.
And if it says so in a Wiki then you KNOW it's the truth!
P.S. I also agree that this episode delivered on the type of cleverness that could be found in the earlier seasons ... however, I'm one of the people who think this season as a whole has been a home run.
Keep it up, Simpsons writers!
"All RAW is these days is a cheap version of Saturday Night Live, so if you wanna tune in to watch the amazing star power of Al Sharpton and Nancy O'Dell, go ahead! Who's gonna host next week, Big Bird? Wow, that's must-see TV!" - John Morrison (10/16/09 Smackdown!)
Which works, given the plot of the movie. I'm sidetracking here, but the concept of the movie (young boy has son, raises son poorly because he's a kid) had potential, even (especially?) with the casting of Sandler and Sandberg.
