So? It's *still* funny. And even more applicable than ever these days. American Dad is the only one that manages to move beyond the formula in spite of itself; and be almost always funny and creative from week to week. AD is more hit than miss which is a lot more than I can say for Family Guy or The Cleveland Show.
And, somebody pointed out, that after Rick's "Broken Window Theory" speech (keep the windows intact and society stays intact) seems appropriate with the fight scene and how things spiraled down from there. EDIT TO ADD:
