There was a previous trailer that was pretty awesome that had The Rock seething while a preacher on the radio ranted about forgiveness.
The new trailer adds a bit of a spoilerish detail about that preacher man.
It will have a theatrical release. How long it lasts in the theatres is anybody's guess, but based on The Expendables, I would guess that there is some pent-up demand for ass-kicking action films.
(c.f RED. I love Helen Mirren to bits, but the fact that we are all getting excited to see her toting around a machine-gun might, just-possibly indicate that we are a little starved for action heroes.)

I don't think adding Robocop 2 and Never Say Never again is good for his obit. Pretty much helped make Star Wars when a sequel could have been terrible. He was very engaging in his commentary for Empire as well as his interviews.
