We got a taste of it at WM20 and we may never get it again.

It may just be me -- but weren't these two just on fire and clicking like crazy at WM? From the People's Strut to the attempted Nature Elbow (MSG would've went INSANE had he done it) - this was just off the hook awesome on so many levels.

We may never get it but Vince should seriously, seriously considering doing some form of a Rock/Flair promo if the opportunity arises.

Hey, I marked out for this much more than "John Wayne Taker: Dead Cowboy." :)

Their performances on Sunday were incredible!

As far as a potential feud goes, it would be great for all the reasons you stated. However, you failed to even touch on what the promo work would be like. :)

The match they had on RAW in 2002 was pretty good. A feud between the two would be nice, I guess. Since neither one really needs to go up or down the ladder in WWE, it would make a good exhibition match at a major PPV.

They better do it soon. Rocky seems less and less interested in wrestling, even once or twice a year, by the millisecond. Once that contract's up who knows if he'll re-sign?

It'd be a perect match for Summerslam (especially if as someone said here its in TO this year). I would love to see Naitch take on Rock with Lil' Naitch as ref, it'd be an all-time classic feud and match-up.

And yes at WM20 they were on fire. They livened up the crowd even more like no other stars can and proved that no matter what age you are, if you've got IT, you've always got IT.

Man those guys were off the scale.
A very very good match and not just because of Rock and Flair. i think everyone was on their game for that match
Rock and Flair with foley Orton at Summerslam
Yes!
I think Batista was good as well and there was logical booking in that match for 2 vs 3

He kinda needs to stay affiliated with WWE if he wants to call himself The Rock.

Given that it was originally predicted Flair wasn't even going to be in that match, I'm so glad he was. And who knows? Next year when Rock comes to make his annual WM appearance, maybe Flair will be ready to retire.. and maybe they'll have their match then, and BOTH 'finish their careers' on a high.

It'd be nice, anyways.

I thought Dwayne Johnson had the rights to the name "The Rock". Am I wrong?

It's not that he's less interested, it's that his schedule is INSANE. He's either been filming or promoting.

He had to catch a redeye after WrestleMania XX so he could make it to Tennessee Monday morning for a screening of Walking Tall and some promotion based around the original movie/true story.

If time permitted, I'm sure he'd stick around for a few more weeks at a time because he clearly enjoys it. He didn't have to do WrestleMania XX. His bank account is inching towards Hogan's with the price tag he's been getting for movies.

I'm sure he likes to keep the wrestling fans happy in a way but it's not the crossover that's going to give him staying power in Hollywood. It helped get him those initial roles but from here on out, it's not that big of a factor.

I just want to say one thing about this. Dwayne Johnson DOES NOT NEED to keep "The Rock" to stay popular. If he were unable to use "the Rock" anymore, it wouldnt be any great stretch for ANY Hollywood studio to promote him as Dwayne Johnson. People would not forget who he is. He is bigger than wrestling now, people. We should be happy for him, not trying to hold him back.

Well, well, well. If it isn't the serious, elusive, Leroy Green. I've been waiting a long time for this Leroy. I am sick and tired of hearing these bullshit Superman stories about the wassa legendary Bruce Leroy catching bullets with his teeth. Catches bullets with his teeth? Nigga please.

Even though the match focused on Foley/Orton. Flair/Rock stole the match in my eyes, when they were in the ring together it was gold. The Nature Elbow was the funniest and one of the most memorable things on the entire show... After watching them just for a bit I was like "They have to feud and have an angle together, please!". Come on Rock can't allow that crazy old man to call him a "MFer" at Wrestlemania and get away with it.

Naitch always steals the spotlight (in a good way, not in a Triple H way). His matches always have a lot of people cheering for him. (But then if he wins they boo him. EH?). It's a sign of respect. I start wooing to myself when I see him on TV. I'd love to see a Rocky/Ricky match. A bit like Hogn/Rock, but probably better, especially with both men's egos turned up to the max. The Naitch Elbow and the People's strut would make a great double retirement match for both men.

I've been looking for video of the Nature Elbow on KaZaa this week with no success so far. I found the People's Strut on video, but no Nature Elbow

Anybody know where I can get it?

I believe he is calling himself Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson at the moment.

Oh and he's confirms that the Wrestlemania event was the only match he was doing this year.

Althrough you never know he might just do it if the fans want it.

When I was at Smackdown they were sold out at least before the Superstars matches were over. I honestly don't recall if there was still Cena merch (pretty sure there was, although they no doubt have a lot more John gear)
