September 24, 2007 - IGN first learned months ago from the man himself, actor-turned-wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, that he was in the running to star in New Line's long-gestating Shazam! movie. Now the Game Plan actor reveals that he's actually being considered for two roles in the Pete Segal-directed action-comedy that John August is writing.
"Shazam, of course, I would love to play. They approached me about [Captain Marvel] and [villain] Black Adam as well," The Rock advised MTV.com. "We've been meeting for months. We're toying with either one. I think it's up to the fans. Without question."
I didn't even know there WAS A Captain Marvel movie in the works. But if there is, I'd much rather see Rock tackle the Black Adam role. Better he play heel than a face, I say.
I'm late to this party because I'm a DVR viewer but this episode was awesome. Best biblical circumcision references in a sci fi show ever. Great opening scene that was not a dream? Check. Cromartie: They don't have faith in you like I do. Ellison:
