I did a quick search and saw nothing on The Road yet. Don't tell me none have you have seen this (and if you have just merge this right into the current thread).
I read the book and loved it. I was worried when I discovered a movie about was going to be made of the book, because the book only has a few characters and it could get bastardized rather easily ...
Not to worry. This movie was top notch. The characters were nailed to a tee. The scenery was for the most part exactly like I pictured it. It wasn't overloaded with dialog, and it survived just fine. I'd forgotten just how sad the story is. It wasn't as good as the book, but it was as damned close as anyone was going come.
I'm curious as to what people who haven't read the book think of it. Also, how has this movie been getting no press, no advertising no media play what so ever?
Hyperbole aside, they're not really pulling Michonne off well. She's a little too subtle, and it's causing viewers trouble in relating to the character. But that character has a ton of potential if they can figure out a way to make her engaging.
