For some reason Bones was omitted from the list.

I had no idea a new season of Rome is upon us. This makes my TV-free (except for The Simpsons) Sunday night quite the opposite, with Rome and Battlestar Galactica now on the Sabbath.

My Monday nights are gonna be rough. Between 24, RAW, Heroes, and Studio 60, something is gonna give. The DVR can only take two at a time at 9pm. 24 is a must, period. What to do about the other three conflicting shows I watch but don't enjoy as much as I wish I did? I have a lifetime of loyalty to WWE, which WWE has severely tested in the latter half of 2006. Heroes, which I don't think is all that good, is however starting to get interesting. Studio 60 I can do without. I probably will end up choosing RAW over Heroes at 9pm, but it's lose/lose until both shows start doing what they're capable of.

Adding 24 and Rome to my already busy TV schedule sure blows my resolution of watching less TV out of the water.

I don't see CSI on there either, but if I recall my ads correctly, THIS Thursday is supposed to bring the "Grissom's sabbatical" episode we've all been waiting for. I'm pretty sure the following episode of "Shark" is also new.

"Afro Samurai (Spike)" - Come again?

"Gay, Straight or Taken? (Lifetime)" sounds like an SNL skit.

"Rob & Amber: Against The Odds" (Fox Reality) - oh lordy

"Extras (HBO) Jan. 14" - YAY

"American Idol (Fox) Jan. 16" - BOO

"Wrestling Society X (MTV) Jan. 30" - I'm STILL getting press releases from that guy, but I just shut down email to slashwrestling.com so that'll hopefully stop

"Lost (ABC) Feb. 7" - man I love watching no TV on Wednesday, but maybe in six weeks I'll be ready.

Sounds more like a Studio 60 sketch to me. (I have no idea why I still watch that show.)

Of shows that I watch, it also appears to be missing Gilmore Girls, My Name Is Earl, Scrubs, and 7th Heaven (don't judge, I watch for the shittiness).

I saw adds of tthis over the weekend. It actually looks really good: think NINJA SCROLL meets blaxploitation films. I'm actually interested in seeing this, and I normally avoid animated stuff. Samuel L. Jackson is the lead vocal talent in this, so it can't be half bad.

Have they explained WHY Grissom's going to be off TV for the episodes? I know that Pederson was doing theatre during the time those episodes were shot, but how will they explain Grissom being gone? I haven't caught many episodes of CSI this year, so pardon my question.

I don't see UGLY BETTY on that list: it's become a guilty pleasure for me. That's supposed to start this Thursday too, I think.

Going purely by my fuzzy memory, the foreshadowing was when Gil received a letter from...some college? I think? asking him to take a hiatus from his current job to be a guest professor of bugology. There wasn't any actual dialogue, just footage of him reading the letter, and dramatic cuts to certain words on the page placed in focus and out of focus, and then him hiding the letter when (somebody?) walked into the office to talk to him about something or other. You can tell this was extremely significant to me at the time. ;-)

I thought it was that he just needed to take a break.....they kind of started showing Grissom being weary and looking sullen when that guy took those two kids and ended up accidentally killing one of them....and I thought every episode was kind of building on that (thought I don't think I've seen EVERY one since).

Earl and Scrubs (along with 30 Rock) are back this week with The Office.

Also, according to TV.com Gilmore Girls returns January 23rd along with Veronica Mars, not sure how accurate TV.com is though.

Maybe. Have they said for sure if they will be replaying the the episodes all season? Because they started off this year replaying The Office on the internet then stopped a few episodes ago. I have the feeling they were just airing episodes on the internet to get people watching and at this point everyone knows about Heroes. I don't think they'll replay the episodes anymore, but that's just a hunch.

As for watching it on Fridays well Heroes is a show with great twists and it's very popular. It's going to be tough going from Monday to Friday without spoilers. I'd boot Raw and watch Heroes and 24.

Butters did it for me too. It was actually good to have an episode that did not focus on the main 4. I liked this episode, but not as much as the other ones so far.
