Judging by the looks of this article, it seems new episodes of Family Guy will be made. However, the question looks to be the placement of these new episodes. The series creator, Seth McFarlane, seemed to hint that these new episodes could end up on DVD/video rather than TV broadcast, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. But if there's new Family Guy episodes, hey I'm all for it. I'd probably rather watch new episodes of Family Guy rather than the new series McFarlane is working on which doesn't seem to be much different.

I would like them to do the first airs on FOX then Cartoon Network. I heard all the rumors but I really have no idea what they will do.

If this IMDb page is correct, seems they were ready to do the movie but oh well. I rather have to 30 or so new FG's.

Life is good, my friends ... life is good ...

So these are supposed to start airing in 01/05? ... If Fox has the Super Bowl that year (and I think they do), it would be a perfect time to re-debut it.

That would be kind of weird or ironic considering that Family Guy originally premiered after the Super Bowl in 1999 didn't it?

Excellent news. I too would like them to air on Fox, mostly because I'm a cheap bastard and I could see them for free on FOX instead of paying $35 bucks for the DVD.

Yeah, but NEXT year it's on FOX. They could probably be ready by 6 February 2005...

I don't know if I can wait 12 months!

I don't know who isn't completely stoked by this news. But Seth McFarlane may not have such a bad idea in making the new episodes of Family Guy a "straight-to-DVD" release. I would hate to see FOX do something stupid like give another shitty timeslot, like last time. I mean, seriously! What genius expected Family Guy to beat Friends?

Hasn't Seth also mentioned the fact of more marketing merchandise behind the new episodes (t-shirts, action figures, etc.)? ...

I'll be first in line for Family Guy action figures ... heh heh heh aaaall-riiight ...

I had a Mountain Dew yesterday. I didn't really notice much of a difference, but I rarely drink any sodas anymore.
