Man, and people say golf isn't exciting. Holy crow, that was some good action. It kinda sucks that they had to end in a draw, but it was great sportsmanship all around.

If I had my way, Nicklaus and Player would go eighteen holes to decide the winner, but I guess a tie will do.

Let's put this in the plainest terms possible: Darryl Strawberry has no business instructing anybody about anything. He has never done a thing in his life to warrant a position of guidance. Not on the field. Not off the field.-- David Vescey,

I bet Mickelson is glad the whole thing is over.

0-5 for his five matches...ouch.

This one's super lucky!

Nicklaus and Player going head-to-head, while historically significant and great for golf historians, would suck. They're both very old and embarassingly past their primes.

Be strong, Jubilee.

#1 rule of sports - no matter what, ties suck balls.

The Ryder Cup never would have ended this way - they would have been hitting shots by lighter light in order to win - just goes to show you how unimportant the President's Cup is in the scheme of golf

He must be glad that this SEASON is over...It would be nice if him and Duval find their games in the off-season...

Kenny Perry really established (maybe I should say 'cemented') himself, IMO(he's a few years older than me, but we went to the same high school and the first person to give me golf lessons also gave Perry lessons years ago, so I have always followed him). 4-1 isn't too shabby at all.

I agree with Chuck, Phil does need to find his game. A couple of years ago I felt that maybe he was no longer the "best player to have never won a major", hopefully he can revitalize his game and come back in '04 and maybe even knock off that pesky major.

While I do agree that the tie sucks, I do feel that the sportsmanship that is behind it embodies what golf, and all other sports, should be.

I was going to say "whoever gets booked to win", but checked myself. :-) Yeah, the Thing if for no other reason than he can go toe-to-toe with the Hulk. There was a pretty nifty barfight some years back between Colossus and Juggernaut.
