In the not-so-distant future, the 3rd place Big East team and the 6th place Big 12 team will be rewarded with a bowl game held in Yankee Stadium (i.e. outside) on December 30th. Average high in New York in December is 40 degrees. You're welcome, Texas Tech!
Obviously I'm not a fan of all these bowl games. The article says they're looking to add bowl games at the Cotton Bowl (the bowl game which is known as the Cotton Bowl Classic is now held at Cowboys Stadium) and at Bright House Networks Stadium (on the campus of the University of Central Florida).
If all of those are approved, we're up to 37 bowls, which means 74 schools participating in bowl games. This is problematic because only 71 schools were bowl eligible last year. What do they do then?| Promote this thread! | | StingArmy

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." -- Orson Welles, The Third Man | ekedolphin

Playoffs?! You wanna talk to me about playoffs?! I'd just like to see my team win a game once in awhile. ;) "You're about as much fun as a divorce-- which is not a bad idea."
