As stated in the link, we were looking to upgrade and get a laptop for the family's use. Hooking up the router took a little longer than I thought, but we are now surfing the internets from the living room, family room, kitchen, etc. now! Thanks so much for all the help. I used the gotoapex link that cranlsn linked to and bought this Dell Vostro 1500 with the following specs for about $750. Thanks, cranlsn! Did we do okay?

Looks like a pretty decent deal to me. I might have gone with a little bit larger harddrive, but considering that you and yours probably won't be downloading every song ever written...80GB should do you fine.

Oh...also...I'll toss the gotapex credit back to Guru Zim. I only knew about it because he mentioned it in a bunch of other PC related threads.
