Like everyone, I was surprised at the reaction that Christian got in both New York and England but this is shocking. His T-shirt is the best seller on Shopzone?! I mean, I love the guy too but did he do something I missed one week? Why all the sudden love?

Christian's got peeps all over the world, that's the reason!

Actually, I think his main-event victory a few weeks back over Benoit, his awesome segment with Vinnie Mac, and his recent showing on last Monday have finally gotten the marks to realize that, hey, Christian's an entertaining guy. About bloody time.

I was listening to Between The Ropes last night and they agree with you Jackson. He is HUGELY over! The gimmick is hot right now. All his stuff except for a few parts in his match he was right there and so were the Peeps.

Yeah, his shirt, is the number on seller right now.

Yet the WWE keeps buring him but fans don't seem to care. They keep giving Christian the love. He needs to turn but not right now. He's needs to do it over period of time and towards the end of the year. Yet, do it in such a way, so the fans don't get bored with him but eat him up more until you have to have him cheered.

Notice the match with Batista? They had to edit the match in such a way that Christian was still the heel because he was getting cheered so much. Don't be to surprised if he a world champion on Raw or Smackdown by this time next year.

I've been saying this here for a while: Christian is going to be the next huge face; it's just a matter of time. Hopefully, they'll play out the Cena thing on SmackDown first before doing it, but definitely sometime this year.

So I'm not at all surprised that his merch is doing so well.

Who would have ever thought that when he started back with the Brood and Team RECK that Christian would get this chance and make the most of it. He's earned this, and I hope he stays healthy enough to continue seeing that work pay off.

Wow ... that's really cool ... if they REALLY want to turn him face, have him in a short-run feud with Edge now. Who better to get him over as a face than the man that everyone really loathes now?

I know some folks aren't big on CENA but I think you move Christian to Smackdown and let him fued with Cena and you have GOLD. Could work either way. My preference would be a CENA heel turn and then a slow face turn for Christian to fued with him.

I'm one of the peeps that's feeling the sudden love of the Christian character...and I dont know how it happened, but I think just the comic value he put on 2 weeks ago, and continued it Monday...he wasn't the CLB, he was just a funny guy. When Vince I think mentioned him being the CLB, and Christian mouthed, "I'm not creepy." But I honestly couldn't tell you what happened to get me to just all of a sudden start thinking differently of him.

Never ever underestimate a heel that actually has some balls. When Vince faced him with a chance against Batista his character didn't even flinch once, whereas two months ago he would've given the full out heart attack upon hearing the name.

And although it seems like a small thing, the new theme music is something that is insanely easy to attach to. Much like Rock, Trips, Cena, or Austin's music it has that hook everybody picks up on in the first second, and you don't have to try and figure out who's coming out.

The thing is, he's already kind of a face, it's just that the brass hasn't realised it yet, but we, the peeps, have known this for quite some time. I'm with Bulldog, and I've thought for a long long time now that the Captain has the chops to be the next HBK-level superstar. I just hope they let him run with it.

It was bound to happen.
He's a fixture on Raw, had a great, lengthy feud with Jericho, has a great look, presentation and music. Has the bodyguard as backup.
Funny thing about the theme music. A band called Waterproof Blonde sings the song.
They played here in Pensacola a few months. A buddy of mine books here and brought them in. After they played, I was talking to the lead singer and was like 'wait, you do theme songs for the WWE, right?'
incidentally, they also did the theme song for Sean O' Haire.
Okay, I'm rambling.
But yeah, Christian is just a complete star. No reason he shouldn't be the next main event guy (dunno about HBK-level though)
He should be moved to SD, though.
Him and Edge are to parallel to be on the same brand (kind of like a blonde Taker and Kane, har)

Part of it is that Christian is just that awesome, but I'm guessing part of it is also that the shirt doesn't feature a big picture of Christian or a giant WWE logo. It's the best kind of WWE shirt--it doesn't say you like Captain Charisma, it says you are Captain Charisma. So even people who don't care about Christian can get into that.

They do still have his name in small print on the bottom though. I've always wondered why they insist on doing that. "Well, I was gonna buy this Deadman, Inc. shirt, but I don't see Undertaker's name anywhere, so for all I know it's actually Bastion Booger merchandise. I can't wear that."

I felt the love, more so this week. I think mayb the WWEEEE is figuring out they have a real character in Christian that the fans like. He's a little goofy, funny, can be serious, rolls like that, and has much peeps. You can't get better then that.

I'd like to see him face off and beat JBL. I think he could gt very over against the guy who everyone dislikes the most. And considering they keep teasing the Smackdown/Raw draft, ya figure he;s heading there. Sadly, he's gonna have to put Cena over. Maybe just once.

I think the ''love'' goes back a while. I think we saw snippets of it after Royal Rumble and his and Tomkos interaction with Eddie and co. This was followed up by his bit in the ''Basic Instinct'' spoof..where he came across as the deviate. It struck a chord with us who like to be different .. I hope he goes to Smackdown with Tomko and starts a gradual climb to a title shot

It's funny how things work out some times. Edge was supposed to be the bigger star when Edge & Christian broke up, but over the last four years, Christian has slowly progressed while Edge has never made The Leap. Sort of like how Jeff Hardy was supposed to be the next HBK, but he was out of WWE by the beginning of 2003 and Matt Hardy was actually more successful (recent events notwithstanding, of course).

Christian is just a very cool character. I agree that his theme music is a part of that. It's not gonna make you a superstar, but I really think that you can't be a top notch guy without that recognizable music that people like. Though I guess you can make the case that the man makes the music rather than the music making the man.

But with all this love that he's getting, and they obviously recognize it with the push that he's getting, why is he not on the Pay Per View Sunday? He and Tomko could be in the Tag Team Turmoil or he could face some jobber just to put him on there. Of course, if history is any indication, then this may just be the sort of lull in the middle before he gets a big push.

I really haven't felt the love for Christian until recently and was always confused by the worship he got on the 'net. However, during that Royal Rumble rap he cut on Cena when they were drawing numbers, I officially became a fan versus someone who just likes him on occasion. He had his moments before (complimenting Rhyno by saying "that was GORE-geous!"), but he really shines these days. I like to see him get reactions like this.

However, the next big thing he is not. He still has some weaknesses, the same ones he's always had, the most egregious of which is/was his lack of credible offense. He also has a plain look, but apparently he's on steroids so, I figure he should get a refund on those.

I can see him being a bottom-of-the-top, top-of-the-bottom guy, but do you really think WWE will push this guy as a main player, even if he could pull it off?

Popularity is a double-edged sword.

As soon as a cool heel gets over, they turn him and the watering down process begins. (See: Victoria)

For the time being though, its awesome. I can't tell if this Samckdown moving stuff is just a tease though. It seems like if Christian doesn't get drafted, it'll just give him a storyline on Raw. A storyline that could be very sweet.

Christian has been my second favorite guy on the roster since the ECK days. In every role hes been put in, he's always been strong. The haircut only made him stand out more.

...but that shirt is totally ruined by his name on the back. I would never normally buy a wrestling shirt, but if this one didn't say "Christian" on the back, I would strongly consider it.

If Christian turned face now, it would only be so that they could pull out the "How to Book The 1-2-3 Kid and Spike Dudley" playbook and have him get squashed every week by whatever big heel they were trying to get over.

I admit it. I've given up on anyone in the WWE knowing how to book a smaller guy like Christian for anything other than to make bigger guys look good.

I'd also like to say that Tyson Tomko has also become one of my favorite parts of RAW. I don't even watch Christian anymore when he's talking. I just keep my eye on Tomko for his reactions. They should never have that guy wrestle again, but instead just make a rule where he has to stand behind anyone who's talking at any given moment and react to them. While we're at it, also bring back the Undisputed Championship and give it to him (not through wrestling, of course) just so he could be on both brands and react in the background to everyone.

If they put Carlito and Tomko together, I don't know about the rest of you, but I smell "Emmy".

This is a good point. We’ve seen it happen time and again, where a heel becomes red-hot, they turn him face, and it falls flat. Remember when Heel Cena was cutting some of the best promos Smackdown, and the fans were begging for a face turn? And now Cena’s at the point where he’s starting to draw boos from a heel on another show.

I dunno. Sometimes it just seems like the WWE would be better served by allowing the cool heel to remain the cool heel.
