So, I know everyone loves Boston right now, but they are not some small market team that came out of nowhere. They have a lot of good talent that did not come cheap.
I think I am wrong about Foley, Benoit winning is the Boston equvilant. Foley is if the Cubs ever win it. | Quezzy

I was just about to say the same thing. While the Redsox haven't won in a looong time, I think the Cubs winning would be even a bigger once in a lifetime thing, like Foley's win. And Foley is more like the "lovable loser" while Benoit is more like the grizzly scrappy hard working Redsox.

I'm thinking the money discrepancy between WWE and TNA would be more akin to the Montreal Expos beating the Yankees.
The Red Sox' payroll was about $117 million, but that's not "far and away" second most. The Angels clocked in at around $100 million.

Boston's payroll was almost $128 million.
By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."
