Game 3 of the Celtics/Pacers series demonstrated how effective psychological warfare can be in basketball. When the Celtics marched out Red Auerbach, K.C. Jones, Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Cedric Maxwell, Tom Heinsohn, Robert Parish, Dave Cowens and others prior to the start of the game (and, I'll take this collection of players at their current ages over half the teams in the NBA in a seven game series), it was pretty obvious that the mind games were beginning. Of course, its always beneficial when the best player on the Pacers is a space cadet, and the coach of the Pacers is a mental pigmy. On the bright side for Isiah, he has done a better job running the Pacers this year than he did running the CBA.

The other thing that denied perfection was Larry Bird not showing up to do a heel turn on the Pacers organization.

It's also helping that Paul Pierce is channeling Larry Bird. Pierce can flat out play. He made Artest look really bad in Game 4. This team has me interested in Celtics basketball again!!

He's Rolie Polie Olie - and in his world of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around.

And notice why the Celtics are playing better? No Vin Baker.
